Experiments
Jay Birkin
process
I created a poster for my video game. I put all my characters together on a poster In a line I put the title on the top and I used Da Font to select a font which suits my poster well. To create this I researched other video game posters online and based mine off of it. I am going to definitely change this because it is just a rough make up and I am still going to use Photoshop.
The last task I did while experimenting was create a city landscape which I will now not use in the game because it is too simple and does not fit anywhere in the game it looks too out of place. Again I created this on Photoshop but when it comes down to the final product I think I will have it looking down from up above the city and the characters who have to navigate there way through the city so it will be a 2D game with birds eye view.
Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you include in your final product?– I am going to include all of the elements that I have experimented with in my final product. However
I may decide to add on some more extra details at a later date on to some of my experimentations. The pixelated zombie I like the look of so I would not want to change the enemies but I could make them look different from one another by using different colours or even have some of them missing body parts and I may include these on the poster later. The city I am unsure about but I now know what it looks like when pixelated. In the poster it includes every character and individual part of the game all on one page but I think it looks way too complicated and overcrowded so I need to make it simple.
