• Start identifying ideas and building networks in relevant areas– Learn what evaluators liked / disliked in FP6
– Make use of any help available
• Consider– Appropriate funding schemes
– Capabilities and preferred role within projects
– Costing aspects
– Dissemination and exploitation aspects

• Understand the partner searches dynamics (fitting into profiles described by the projects)
