received one call from Mr. Ratnam Vasu enquiring me if there are any vacant positions in abhaya. He asked me Ihow to join in Abhaya. I told him that there are no specific posts in abhaya. Anyone working in abhaya would be
considered as a volunteer be it working on a single mission or on various things. I quoted my example saying I was
working with abhaya for 2 years and was recently made as a trustee on November 1st and explained him that
opportunities would be there for doing good work irrespective of positions and posts. He would be visiting us on our
monthly meet too. Hoping for the best
When we had been to AAROHAN'10… we came across the same thing as many people seeking help but the people
wish to help us in our Mission are very less. Moreover as we moved public sight in a bigger and broader way through
TV, I am sure we would be getting more cases after seeing the show… but I honestly did not expect that there would

bhaya received close to 400 calls in just 4 days since post MAA TV telecast and so many
people are calling us continuously almost every minute from morning to night 12 AM. I Aam noting down the details of people. Majority of them are seeking help for the needs(80%)
and rest are the people who are interested in participating and donating. I will share all the
details tonight after consolidation. There was no proper sleep for me during the last couple of
days due to inumnberable calls that has been received since MAA TV program.
I called Sushma last night and came to know that no one called her as she is right now in
Mysore Infosys… people may have dialed the number without adding 0. One small request from my side as I am
in office, I may not receive all the calls but try to attend maximum possible. Please understand my position.

nProcess involved in going about taking up, execution and closure of any mission.need to set some systems and processes by utilizing and complementing strengths and
nImproving the accounting procedures and processes.weaknesses of each individual involved in the foundation.
For example, if one is good at certain aspects of service, others may not be as good at it. nImproving reporting method upon successful completion of the mission.One may be good in accounting, someone may be good in organizational planning and

team has given 50% discount for licensed version for our use. We paid Rs.6,750/- as against Rs. 13,500/-.
We take this opportunity to thank CA.Vishnu Teja, E&Y, Hyderabad and long term Associate of abhaya for his

ith a Grief stricken heart, we make an appeal to your benevolent hearts to save
our little baby girl who had been born prematurely at 6 and a half months and Was a consequence she has been suffering from severe lung infection and other
complications due to which the baby is not able to breathe. She has been on Life
Support System (Ventilator) for the past 3 months in NICU, since her birth and is
undergoing treatment. The baby is wriggling in the incubator and fighting with all her
might, every passing moment to breathe.
As parents, we wanted to give her the right to live and had done everything we could,
to sustain her life on ventilator waiting to see her to breathe on her own. With all our
assets sold out and financial resources exhausted, we were running from pillar to post
to secure money for treatment and fortunately some of our well-wishers came forward
to help in the initial stages.
Now the baby is slowly recovering, but we have no further resources for her
medication and we are left only with pounding hearts and eyes filled with tears and
optimistically waiting for a miracle to happen. On this day of 13-JAN-2011, we
curse ourselves for being given a last memorandum by the doctors to decide
whether to continue with treatment or remove the ventilator owing to our
current financial situation.
The baby's ONLY chance is to reach out helping hands to save her life, giving an
assurance that we are there to nurture and strengthen her strong Will and continued
fight to open her eyes to find that the world she has stepped into is so beautiful world.

Ganesh’s leg has been amputed
ujatha, A poor lady from Malakpet visited Abhaya post MAA TV S“Velugu Veliginchu” programme. Sujatha's husband Ganesh, is suffering
from a rare disease there by the blood circulation from the heart is not being
reaching his both the legs from past 6 months. Ganesh used to work as a daily
labour and Sujatha as a maid servant. Soon Ganesh became immobile due to legs
started digesting because of no blood circulation to his lower limbs.
Their family consists of 2 small school going kids and an elderly mother. With the
fear of losing him in life,
The family Visited Osmania General Hospital, they have referred the case to NIMS,
Hyderabad. The operation is not being covered under AP Arogya Sri Scheme… the
cost of the operation is about Rs.3,00,000/- and there is no time to wait is the
message shared with the family…there by Sujatha frightened and started running
pillar to post.
Ganesh due to unbearable pain in his both the legs could not sleep for the last 3
months as he was sitting in a plastic chair because he is unable to move and sleep on
a bed. They could not even afford the wheel chair and an injection worth Rs 250/-
twice a day to prevent the infection passing to other parts of the body. All such
hopeless conditions made the family crumbled beyond explanations. There is none
to understand them except few middle class families where she is working as maid
servant at Andhra Bank Colony, Malakpet, Hyderabad. Now Sujatha is the only
support to their family.
they very desperately consulted the doctors and they said
that he needs an operation for the nerves present below the waist bone immediately
and as a temporary relief 4 fingers from his left leg were amputed by the Doctors...
Stating that they should no more be a part of the body. But the doctors informed the
family that the infection might slowly pass to the whole body and chances of his
survival would be very less.
Dr. Shulapani and Team, Rajyalakshmi Hospitals, Hyderabad treated Ganesh with love and care and amputed his leg to save to his life on 27th Jan, 2011.
Abhaya was successful in motivating entire family members of Ganesh (4 brothers & 1 sister) who are distenced from him since long time. Every one empathysed with his situation and came forward to pool approximately Rs. 50,000/-. Ms. Geetha and Shyam Kiran also started pooling the resorces to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- and abhaya could provide about Rs. 50,000/- for the cause.
Ganesh is being discharged now with a hint that another leg also may have to be amputed in next 10 days time. If pooled amounts are surplus then abhaya would set up a shop for their sustainance. Thanks to Dr. Rajgopal for his kind hearted co-ordination for the Mission.

abhayan CS G Thirupal raised curtain for yet another Mission for all
of us to show our empathy and to do what is best possible!

No parents to Satyavathi. Husband is a driver. Aunt feeds her every day since last 3 years
Ramanamma, a poor neighbor who is maid servant tried hard to make her suffering known to everyone through EENADU
Bhaskar a reporter came to her rescue and published the story. CS Thirupal had seen it and shared abhaya.
Anhaya visited Satyavathi with in 48 hours at Dharmavaram and analyzed the situation.
Satyathi is in need of Rs.1.5 Lakhs for 3 limbs.
abhaya’s call to help this Mother reached many people locally at Dharmavaram town from mouth to ear campain.
Many youngsters and organisations came forward to lend their helping hand. As of now abhaya could pool about
Rs.50,000/- and very postive about pooling further sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with your support. If every thing goes
smoothly... Satyavathi would start a new life in next 30 days.

HM TV people who are aware of this poor fellow… trying to help him by giving live show in their TV. They again approached us to find out whether any doctor treating him at NIMS would be able to talk in the TV for few minutes so that this show would bring lot of resources for him. Raghavendra is helplessly in touch with us almost on daily basis. We moved his file seeking help to the office of CM as well. Abhaya spending close to Rs. 25,000/- and giving shelter to the family for a week could get Thulasi operated for Cochlear implant under AP Arogyasri Scheme whose cost is Rs. 6.5lakhs. He is now happy chaild going back home with his innocent parents.
Santosh is recovering without operation
As you are aware , I have just finished a consultation with Dr. TN Rao on return from
Mumbai , after meeting Dr. Atul Goel. The good part of the story is that Santosh is
doing reasonably well now, so Dr. Goel told Not to do any intervention treatment and
leave him alone for the time being. The bad part is that Santosh has to live with this
disease and the risk of bleeding again, anytime, anyplace. With the Lord on his side,
who has given him a rebirth, and our collective prayers and positive energy - I am sure
he will find suitable purpose in life and carry on. His parents understand this now.
As such, I still have a deposit of 30,000/- from Abhaya which I have not yet used. Given
Santosh's current condition I am not sure when it will be required again, but I know
that there are more number of needy people whose critical needs have to be addressed
NOW. I am arranging to re-deposit this amount with Abhaya bank account, and God
forbid, if it does happen again to Santosh, I am sure I can always knock on our doors for

I was very happy to see the article you have
published to help out Ravi. Thank you for reaching
out to so many souls in need. Abhaya Foundation is
doing a wonderful job!
Is this organisation based out of Hyderabad? Did
you receive my email requesting friends & family to
help Ravi through one of my relatives? Did you get a
chance to watch the video I created on Ravi? If so,
please circulate that among your circle.
We are in touch with Ravi... I was impressed with
his faith in God & his hope that everything will work
out. He said he wasn't scared of the disease but the
cancer pains are unbearable. He is in accelerated
state - there is still a good 75% chance of success
according to his doctor. I am also in touch with Sai
devotees in Tirupati, working silently to help him.
So the current update is that we have raised almost $7500 USD & our target is $9000 USD to
start his transplant. I have requested the Sai volunteers to persuade the doctor to work on Ravi
soon, with faith in GOD that we will somehow get the remaining sum before the operation date

They are looking very positive and vibrant. Understanding
the need for generating regular income for survival
abhaya has given Rs. 5,000/- to restart their business at
home.
Let us all pray for his full recovery.
Jagannath(33) and Manohar(28) sons of Konda Durgaiah(65) from Ramakapet, Medak Dist. are suffering from Ameaboisis(Muscular Distropy) for the past 15 years and bed ridden. Poor Durgaiah is fighting with this calamity since then. He is the only person who can work now. Several print and media friends tried to support them but not much help being extended by anyone. MAA TV “Velugu Veliginchu” brought them to abhaya’s fold on 9th Jan, 2011.
Abhaya emphathyzing with suffering provided them provisions for 6 months and Mr. Subramanyam who has seen MAA TV program readily came forward to finance the same. Mr. Srikanth a volunteer who has seen MAA TV came forward to visit the family to
understand posibilities of setting up a small business for them.
Abhaya is now looking forward to make them self reliant with the proposal.

Master Rohit (11) suffering from Hemophila-A from
Kesireddypally, Warangal Dist. has been admitted in
NIMS in a paralyzed condition on 8th January. He has
been advised to take life saving factor whose cost is
about a Rs. 1 lakh. The family approached abhaya
seeing MAA TV and abhaya pained to know this.
Ms. Sakalya wife of an IAS Officer who visited
abhaya on 9th Jan seeing MAA TV immediately
extended her kind support of Rs. 10,000/- and
abhaya sanctioned Rs. 25,000/- with a prayer to
God to save him.
Status is not been updated by the family.
Kalyani Durga (12) Achanta, West Godavari Dist. who is suffering from failure of both the kidneys approached abhaya along with her father Satyanarayana.
They are being counseled to visit Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences and if the operation is needed, assured them with all possible help.
Alternatively she can also be operated under AP Govt Arogya Sri Scheme where in Govt., would provide Rs.1.5l, family is ready to bring in Rs.1l and abhaya can pool about Rs.1l based on the need.
Status is not been updated by the family even after repeated calls to them.
Pranav (12), suffering with Mental Disorder son of a
watch man in an apartment at Tolichowki, approached
abhaya seeing MAA TV program. He along with his
mother and grandfather were sent to Apollo to
understand whether there is a problem in hearing.
The doctors advised them to visit Sweekar
Rehabilitation Center and abhaya assured them
all the best possible help. advised them to visit
Sweekar and call abhaya for consulting the Doctor
over there.
Status is not been updated by the family since last 20
days after their visit.
CA Manoj Krishna qualified CA/CS just started his career with a good
company at Bengalure approached abhaya post MAA TV programme.
His father needs liver transplantation which costs about
Rs.25,00,000/-. His family members and relatives are not yet
being consulted about the way forward, But after seeing other
cases he got convinced that he can handle this calamity on his
own and requested abhaya to extend its help to those who are
in dare need of help. He requested abhaya to provide moral
support. abhaya assured him that if necessary the team would
visit his home and talk to all his relatives about the matter.
Status is not been updated by the family even after repeated calls to
them.
Subramanya Aachary who is pained to see suffering of Chowdamma
(12) who is deaf & dumb since birth written a letter to abhaya seeking
its help. abhaya in turn called the child and father to Hyderabad with an
appointment with doctors at Apollo.
Though doctors told them to bring her for further tests to
understand the possibility of Cochlear implant surgery,
father’s attitude towards his own child is very disappointing as
he forceably took the child back to Dharmavaram saying that
he do not have time to run around... such is the power poor
economic conditions prevailing in his life.
abhaya & Achary tried couple of times to counsel him, but all the trails
were failed.
Dheeraj(4) son of Ratanlal migrated from Rajasthan about 8 years abck
and working for a big cloth shop at Somajiguda, Hyderabad approached
abhaya seeing MAA TV program.
Dheeraj is deaf & dumb since birth. abhaya sent the family to Apollo and
doctors advised them to visit CM camp office for getting the coverage of AP
Arogya Sri Scheme. abhaya guided the family and accompanied them to
CM Office and accordingly spent Rs.10,000/- for getting the Medical
Reports done and Rs.10,000/- worth hearing aid being given to him to clear
the screening test before operation.
Only one work which is being asked by him is that get a birth
certificate from the Municipal office for getting the clearence for
the operation from CM office. but it was unfortunate that Ratanlal
is not able to make it on his own though anhaya told him to take the

S.Sampath studying IV BE at Warangal is suffering from PARRY RAMBURG syndrom since childhood he spent almost Rs. 5 lakhs till date and not knowing what to do approached abhaya. Abhaya told him that we would come back to him.
But we need to have guidance from experts in the field in regard to the said syndrome.
Saranya(17), studying intermediate, not able to move out as she is suffering from kidney failure and ailment in legs. abhaya suggested her parents to take this girl to SSSIHMS, Prashanthi Nilayam immediately and sanctioned them the expenses to the tune of Rs.3,000/- the doctors after carrying the necessary tests at the Hospital informed them that the child so week
and she would not be able to face the operation in her legs at this point of time and given medication for one year with an advise them to nurture her with proper diet and bring back to the Hospital.
Tanmayi(8), suffering from Mental disorder,
mother works for a BPO and father owns a small
shop. The family do not have issues except their
child. They approached abhaya post MAA TV
Program seeking some guidance in regard to
operation for their daughter's legs… though
abhaya Volunteers made note of their story, they
forgot to take their contact number. Abhaya
sought the appointment of Dr.Sulapani,
Rajyalakshmi Hospital for this girl. But could not contact them due to un
availability of their contact numbers. They also did not call back.
Varsha (15), and her father Daiwa Prasad from Visag approached
abhaya watching MAA TV program by email… she was suffering from
cancer near anus. (iv stage) and before abhaya could respond the
news of her demise reached us about couple of weeks back.
This news really made the abhaya team sad as every single being in this
country who is suffering cannot be saved by few like minded people. The
needs are immediate where as the responses of support and care are
negligible in number… sometimes it would be like cursing our self for not able to do anything! Let us all
be little considerate while responding to abhaya's initiatives. Our little money when brought in to pool of
abhaya would become life saving factor for many suffering!
Anjanamma (40), who lost her husband… approached
abhaya, when the team was there at Dharmavaram
investigating the issues of Satyavathi. She sells vegetables on
road, issue is that her only son suffering mental disorder
and he is 15 years old, no one is there to take care of this boy at
home. She hardly gets Rs.3000/- PM and as of now her father
and brother are supporting them. Abhaya is planning to bring
them to Hyderabad and send them to Sweekar to get admitted
in the special school if that gives him appropriate rehabilitation
with medication and training.
Nagaraju (28), approached abhaya, when the team was there at
Dharmavaram investigating the issues of Satyavathi, he was crying with pain
and suffering in his both the hips. He was unable to walk due to severe ach in
joints. No one could do anything since last 6 months. Abhaya immediately
sent him to Anantapur where Dr.Bhanukiran seen him and their relatives
arranged for getting the MRI Scanning and thereafter he has been advised to
get operated at Hyderabad for both the hips replacement. Abhaya is in touch
with Dr.Sulapani and if the operation is going to save his life, the plan is to get
him to Hyderabad and do the needful.
Mohanrao (45), who had seen MAA TV accidentally at his village near Chhattisgarh which is about
1200kms away from Hyderabad wrote a letter to abhaya enclosing various documents pertaining to
his only son Prashanth who is suffering from kidney failure since last 8 years. He is now immobile
and it became hard to take care of him for this father who is earning Rs.4,000/- PM and sold out all
his properties to save him. Abhaya called him to meet the team at Hyderabad and he with all
hesitation visited Hyderabad. Abhaya is pained listen to his story… he do not have interest to live as
of now, but wife & daughter are there and he wish to set daughter's life
right. The kidney transplantation costs about
Rs.6,00,000/-, no dialysis happening due to
unavailability of money and they are
administering some ayurveda medicine.
Abhaya released Rs.10,000/- straight away and
a new auyurveda medicine being handed over
to him at Hyderabad with a request to see the
result and assured him Rs.2,000/- would be
sent to him every month for sustenance.
Advised him to take the boy to SSSIHMS,
Prashanthi Nilayam for expert opinion.

My preparation has been going well... I have
written the entrance test for the A.P study
circle for BC's, got the 6th rank. The Classes
will be started from 10th January, 2011.
With ABHAYA reference, I am being guided
by M.Tirumala kumar, IRS. His guidance is
really useful for me to go forward in right
direction towards my ambition.(He treats
me as his OWN Brother). I am planning to
shift to AP Study Circle Hostel during the last
week of January for serious preparation.
As of all know that I am staying in ABHAYA
from December 9th,2010 to get shelter, food
and mainly for good environment to prepare
well. In ABHAYA, I am learning lot of things
(mainly perfection) which are really helpful
for me to lead the country after I become an
IAS officer. The money which I have taken
from ABHAYA is spent for purchasing books
( P u b l i c a d m i n i s t r a t i o n ,
Anthropology) and paid for my
MCA college fee(In my 2nd year
government paid only 20,000/-
instead of paying 24500/-).

Sai Mandir and participating in the RUDRAABHISHEKAM.

u. Always I used to tell them about abhaya and so they

Kamineni Hospital considering to provide full time job, but I am of the opinion that I need to change my department to microbiology because I did M,Sc Microbiology… this would surely add value for me. I met Microbiologist Doctor and she interviewed and I h a d b e en s h o r t l i s t e d f o r Microbiology Department. She would now take permission from the concerned HOD.
This year 2011, I started at abhaya on 31st December night. I had the fortune of going on to the roads along with few other abhaya volunteers distributing blankets to the most needy people suffering in the winter. I felt very good when I did this job and I am so happy.

Vinitha (16) is studying intermediate and came
to abhaya for guidance for future education. We
counseled her and arranged home tuitions for
better scoring in Inter Board Exams for Physics &
Chemistry. After that suggested to take B
Pharmacy, which can be done with less
expenditure and have various opportunities. What
so ever may be our counseling… the students are
day dreaming about their capabilities and future
without equipping themselves about present
status. But as if they are abhaya's own kids, the
team is trying heartily to be with them guiding and
Kumar(allias Eswar) is an aspirant of CA approached
us for necessary help. We talked to him and his father for
an hour and understood the need. His father can provide
money for basic needs. abhaya suggested kumar to come
to hyderabad and join classes with a part time job.
Abhaya when called them to know the status learnt that
this boy could not clear CPT even after spending
thousands of rupees for coaching. Then we suggested
him to shift to abhaya home at Hyderabad and start
preparing for CPT with a part time job.Status: they need
to come back with their action plan.
Vanitha from vijayawada wants to be a volunteer after
watching the MAA tv programme and attended the
meeting and after speaking to her, we understand that
she is directionless and surrounded by so many issues in
family. We noted down all the information and she asked
abhaya to help her to overcome her problems. abhaya
immediately sanctioned 3000/- to pay her hostel fee and
waiting for her feed for further action. But understood
that she is not really focused on what she wish to do in
life.
Swathi is a student of Engineering and visited
abhaya seeking help for the fee. We counselled her to
take up home tuitions to stand on her own apart from
improving her skills. Her father disagreed to our
suggestion and we tried to convince them two three
times over phone. They feel if Swathi goes for home
tuition what for Foundation is there? Which a real
bounce for us to understand the attitude of parents at
this point of time and she is already been supported
by ANNAPURNA Committee.
Chandana's (22) mother watching MAA TV called
abhaya to support her daughter's studies. They got
admission under NRI quota though her rank very
high. She was the only girl and the parents were very
rich at the time of admission and by the time she
reached 3 year the lost all their wealth due to
business losses. She has to pay an amount of
Rs.1,00,000/- at College for the last couple of years.
Abhaya spent considerable time to understand their
needs and guided her to move forward. Also provided
Rs.2,000/- for going to Bengaluru for doing project
work at BEL. Asked her to get back to abhaya once she reach Bengaluru with an assurance
that it would help her in finding probable solution for the issues she is facing.
Sireesha (18), Sirisilla… wathing the “Velugu
Veliginchu” written a detailed letter to abhaya
seeking support to meet her monthly bus pass
expenses to the tune of Rs.1500/-. She belongs to a
poor weavers family and father is the only bread
winner of the home. She could admission in
Vageeswari Engineering College, Karimnagar with AP
Govt., reimbursement scheme. She could not believe
abhaya's call asking her to come and meet the team
at Hydeabad as she do not have money to travel as
well. Abhaya provided charges to her and asked
them to visit. Abhaya team spent close to 3 hours time with Sireesha and her father.
Suggested her to go to home tuitions in her town and provided Rs.2,000/- for one month.
She got motivated and started going for taking tuitions in the evenings. Abhaya promised to
pay the necessary support based on her own earnings.

Abhaya visited the kids at Sai Seva Sangh, Moosapet, Hyderabad and interacted with them about Indian Constitution on the eve of Republic Day and distributed sweets to them.
A New year 2011 has come with New expectations and New responsibilities...Abhaya welcomed the first day of the new year with lots of programs and spent time with people who were in need of moral support to bring in brightness into their lives. In the first week itself, Abhaya got a huge opportunity to share about its work and mission with the viewers through MAA TV "Velugu Veliginchu" program on 2nd Jan 2011.
But, the aftermath of this telecast was something that was totally unexpected. More than 350 calls were received seeking help just in the first 10 days. Not more than 50 calls came from people who were willing to donate or willing to volunteer for joining hands with Abhaya to do the good work. So, Why is this exponential difference?
Even as I am writing this, I know there must be someone, somewhere who have called us and about to meet us... silently thinking about how much amount can abhaya give them....or how much of the way forward can abhaya show them...or how much can abhaya support them...!!!
In all these questions… there lies the answer in itself. We can try and try and help as many people as we can. We can pray to God to give us more strength to help more number of people.

2 days back I got a chance to meet Mr.Gopi & Mrs. Ganga in Ananthagiri hills at Araku. They were with Sathyasai home children. And I was with my friend's family and his two years old kid. Sudenly the baby was unwell. we got down from bus in ghat road. When we reached the resort for night halt there was no room. We were not in a position to understand what to do. Suddenly I saw Sathysai children in the same resort with Mr & Mrs. Gopi. When I requested, they were very kind enough to help us…
When I told them that I am Company Secretary... the only question from them was do you know CS.Balachandra and My only answer is that… I know this master motivator who is still all time inspiring person for most of upcoming company secretaries. In our daily life we are meeting so many people who are in great needs, some of us are helping by spending some time & giving suggestions & financially. similarly“Abhaya Foundation” also doing so many activities for supporting the needy people whole-heartedly.
I have seen personally so many activities which they had done until now and participated in some of the activities. They are all true hearted people like us, they will support the people without any personal benefits.

Sri Subramanyam garu is one of those who were inspired to see MAA TV program dropped in to abhaya
along with his family and very caringly observed all the deliberations till the conclusion. He was very kind
enough to talk to his relatives on line and provided financial help to Durgaiah & Saranya. He also assured
abhaya that he wish to be part of all the good work which is happening with abhaya along with his wife and
son. Abhaya saluted him with all its love. He informed that he would connect to his relatives who are
staying abroad and wish to be part of such good work.
