365 days of eHealth TABLET: Technology

Assisted Boards for LGU Efficiency and

Transparency – a prelude to eHATID

Dennis B. Batangan, MD, MSc (Heid)Institute of Philippine CultureSchool of Social SciencesAteneo de Manila University

Objectives of the Presentation

1. Narrate design and development of eHealth TABLET

2. Present current version of eHealth TABLET

3. Present latest results

4. Present plans for eHATID

Research Problems based on Issues/Gaps

Problems we were trying to solve:

1. How to interface existing systems to eliminate redundancy

at the LGU level?

2. How to design an EMR using bottom up approach such

that the system addresses the needs of its actual users?

3. How to create a mobile –cloud based EMR so that real

time health information may be accessed anytime,

anywhere ( with security and privileges in place)?

4. How to monitor usage to encourage participation from

users?

Objectives:

1. Design an EMR that can interface with existing DOH

systems.

2. Design an EMR using bottom up approach such that the

system addresses the needs of its actual users.

3. Design and develop a mobile –cloud based EMR so that

real time health information may be accessed anytime,

anywhere ( with security and privileges in place).

4. Develop monitoring protocols and systems for usage

behavior.

Methodology
