3846 Pitcombe Place Why We Loved This Home; In Our Sellers Words

It is with sadness that my family and I leave Pitcombe Place. The house has been in our family

for three generations and has been a terrific neighbourhood in which to raise our young

daughter. From glancing out the sunny front window to see if there are whitecaps on Cadboro

Bay to strolling the five minutes down to Gyro Park for a last play on beach after dinner,

Pitcombe Place has been an ideal location.

When I purchased the house from my Mother I decided to do its renovation to a high

standard. From refinishing the beautiful oak floors to using maple trim and wood blinds

throughout I spared no expense to ensure an excellently finished home. I properly sound proofed

the basement ceiling and built a high quality suite.

I come from a long line of gardeners and knew my grandmother would be proud when I terraced

and replanted the backyard with help from a horticulturist. It is still a maturing garden

and keeps getting better every year!

I think what I will miss most are the late afternoons on the back deck, sitting in the sunshine and

watching all the bird life in the yard. I designed the deck to be a year round "outdoor room" and

it has been a complete success. From strolls through Mystic Vale, the gardens and theatres of

Uvic, the beach and Village of Cadboro Bay, our home on Pitcombe Place has been a great

place to live and I will miss it dearly.
