Normothermia System Application Steps 3M™ Bair Hugger™ Multi-position upper body warming blanket - Model 62200 1. Place Once surgical positioning is complete, place the blanket on the patient. The small holes should be in contact with the patient’s skin. 2. Bend Bend and conform the blanket on or around the patient to cover the greatest amount of skin surface area. 3. Remove Remove adhesive strip backing. 4. Adhere Adhere to patient in the desired location (adhesive strip toward surgical site). 5. Secure Use tie strips to secure blanket if needed. 6. Unfold Unfold the head drape and place over the intubated patient's head and neck.* 7. Connect Connect hose to blanket using desired port (not over groin area). Final Beach Chair Application Final Lateral Shoulder Application Final Robotics Application 8. Clamp Use cord tether and clamp to secure hose. 9.
