Since establishing 'KCH Industry Development' in 2002, we have successfully conducted a variety of development business and played a key role not only in boosting KCH’s status as one of the leading real estate developers, but also in becoming the parent company.

KCH took up the challenge of supplying power generation through the business of coal and obtained a supplier position that provides bituminous coal to five power companies of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) in 2007, expanding coal supply continuously.

Despite the market barrier, in which world-famous companies have monopolized the domestic power generation coal market, KCH is gaining its foothold in supplying the bituminous coal market by developing an original coal supply process.

KCH has also entered the shipping business with two cape-sized bulk vessels with the motto, "We convey our coal by our ship." KCH is now known all over the world against other global leading shipping companies.

KCH Energy has been established to develop overseas resources according to business diversification in 2007. The current main business objective is to purchase bituminous coal from Kalimantan in Eastern Indonesia and make the contracts with Korea Electric Power Corporation, and supply the coal to five power company of KEPCO, Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd., Korea East·West Power Co., Ltd., Korea Western Power Co., Ltd., Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd., Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd.

As well, KCH is planning to expand its coal purchasing base to all the area in Indonesia and keep on moving on client diversification to China and India.

To expand businesses, KCH Energy is on promoting merchandising trade by the conclusion of a contract on purchasing coal from a giant mine at Tavantolgoi in Mongolia and selling the coal to China.

KCH Energy makes a ceaseless effort to achieve higher status and development, and improve coal mine development and energy logistics for securing global energy resources.

Under the motto, "We convey our coal by our ship.", KCH Shipping was founded in 2009 with two cape size bulk vessels built in Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.. KCH raised itself as a competitive medium-sized shipping company by performing contracts with outstanding shipper such as KEPCO and POSCO. KCH Shipping has created a synergy effect with Energy business by chartering ship for efficient coal operation as needed.

Two owned vessels are operating by ship chartering with global shipping companies such as Berge Bulk shipping. KCH Shipping will try to make long-term contracts with superior shipper and acquire new ship to make KCH shipping more competitive.
