공측성 (commensurability) = 두 값 (길이 대 길이, 넓이 대 넓이, 무게 대 무게, 해와 달의 주기)이 공약수를 갖는다 = 공배수를 갖는다.

길이 = 단위 길이에 대한 비율

넓이 = 단위 넓이에 대한 비율
