Have you ever wished that you could have a model of your own favorite horse or pony to cherish forever? Here’s your chance! Peter Stone of Stone Model Horses (www.stonehorses.com) has volunteered to create a model horse to honor the great horse or pony selected as Delaware’s “4-H Horse of the Year”. The winning 4-H member will be announced at the Horse Bowl contest and awarded their horse/pony model horse at the winning member’s county achievement banquet in fall of 2014. UNITED WAY

The Delaware 4-H Foundation is not a United Way agency, but is eligible to receive write-in contributions as a non-profit organization. If you and other 4-H friends and supporters would like to designate your United Way contribution to 4-H, go to the write-in account section of the United Way form. Use the number 9020 and Delaware 4-H Foundation to designate your donation to 4-H. The address is 113 Townsend Hall, 531 S. College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716-2210. Funds received in this manner become part of the contributions to 4-H. The write-in option is only available through workplace giving.

The 4-H Foundation usually receives a list early in the year indicating who has pledged money, although that information for this year was just recently received. All contributions are acknowledged by the Delaware 4-H Foundation when United Way notifies us of the pledge.

Also, the 4-H Foundation in 2013 will be eligible to receive funds through the State Employees Charitable Campaign.

We appreciate your continued support of 4-H!
