Ikhwat-ul-Iman

Du’aa is basically “to call out, to summon.” Du’aa should be made at all times and

in all circumstances. We should make a habit of making Du’aa because this habit

gets us close to Allah Almighty.

Du’aa itself becomes a source of joy and comfort because indeed in the

remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace.

It is important to realize that only if you can have a meaningful conversation with

Allah in this life, will you be allowed to continue to have a dialogue with Him in

Paradise.

“Rabbana” means ‘Our Lord.’ The name of Rabbana has been mentioned at several

places in Quran. They have their own importance and endless benefits and virtues

in Islam. It has been proved that if one recites these Rabbana with consolidation,

obedience, and decency he will surely get the benefits what he seeks for.

The words of the Rabbana Du’aas are there for us to receive virtues from

Almighty Allah. We simply have to pronounce them with sincerity, obedience, and

inevitability then surely pleasure of Allah is guaranteed.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

ميع العليم ك أنت الس 1 ربنا تقبل منا إن

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas Sameeaul Aleem

O Our Lord accept from us, undoubtedly, You are All Hearing and All Knowing.

سلمة لك وأرنا مناسكنا وتب ة م يتنا أم ربنا واجعلنا مسلمين لك ومن ذر

اب و ك أنت الت الرحيم علينآ إن 2

Rabbana wa-j'alna Muslimayni laka ma min Dhurriyatina 'Ummatan Muslimatan laka wa 'Arina Manasikana wa tub 'alayna 'innaka 'antat-Tawwabu-Raheem

O Our Lord! Make us submissive to You and of our offspring a nation submissive to You, tell us our ways of worship, and turn to us with Your mercy. Surely, You alone are most Relenting and Merciful.

ة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار نيا حسنة وفي الآخ 3 ربنا آتنا في الد

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar

O Our Lord give us good in the world and give us good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of the Hell.

ين نا على القوم الكاف ت أقدامنا وانص غ علينا صبرا وثب 4 ربنا أف

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna 'alal-qawmil-kafirin

O Our Lord pour forth steadfastness upon us and make our steps firm, and help us against disbelieving people.

5 ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا

Rabbana la tu'akhidhna in-nasina aw akhta'na

O Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error

ا كما حملته على الذين من قبلنا 6 ربنا ولا تحمل علينا إص

Rabbana wala tahmil alayna isran kama hamaltahu 'alal-ladheena min qablina

O Our Lord! And place not heavy burden on us as you had placed on those before us

ن لنا ما لا طاقة لنا به واعف عنا واغف لنا وارحمنا أنت مولانا فانص ا ربنا ولا تحم

Rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi wa'fu anna waghfir lana wairhamna anta mawlana fansurna 'alal-qawmil kafireen

O Our Lord! And place not heavy burden on us as you had placed on those before us. O our Lord! Put not that burden on us of which we have no strength to bear! And pardon us and forgive and have mercy on us. You are our Master; then help us against the infidels.

ك أنت الوهاب ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة إن 8

Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana milladunka rahmah innaka antal Wahhab

O Our Lord! Let not our hearts become perverse after this that You guided us and bestow on us mercy from Yourself; no doubt, You are The Grantor.

ك جامع الناس ليوم لا ريب فيه إن الله لا يخلف الميعاد 9 ربنا إن

Rabbana innaka jami'unnasi li-Yawmil la rayba ri innAllaha la yukhliful mi'aad

O Our Lord! No doubt You are the assembler of all people for the Day in which there is no doubt. Undoubtedly the promise of Allah changes not.

نا آمنا فاغف لنا ذنوبنا وقنا عذاب النار 10 ربنا إن

Rabbana innana amanna faghfir lana dhunuubana wa qinna 'adhaban-Naar

Our Lord we did accept faith, then forgive us our sins and save us from the torment of the hell.

اهدين 11 ربنا آمنا بما أنزلت واتبعنا الرسول فاكتبنا مع الش

Rabbana amanna bima anzalta wattaba 'nar-Rusula fak-tubna ma'ash-Shahideen

O our Lord! 'We believe in what you have sent down and followed the Messenger, then write us among those who bear witness on truth.

نا على القوم ت أقدامنا وانص افنا في أمرنا وثب يننالكاف ربنا اغف لنا ذنوبنا وإس 12

Rabbana-ghfir lana dhunuubana wa israfana fi amrina wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna 'alal qawmil kafireen

O Our Lord! Forgive our sins and our excesses that we committed in our affairs, and make firm our steps and help us against these disbelieving people.

13 ربنا ما خلقت هذا باطلا سبحانك فقنا عذاب النار

Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batila Subhanaka faqina 'adhaban-Naar

O Our Lord! You have not made it in vain, Glory be to You, save us from the torment of the Hell fire.

المين من أنصار ك من تدخل النار فقد أخزيته وما للظ 14 ربنا إن

Rabbana innaka man tudkhilin nara faqad akhzaytah wa ma liDh-dhalimeena min ansar

O Our Lord! Verily whomsoever you cause to enter the Hell, You have surely humiliated them, and the unjust have no helpers.

نا سمعنا مناديا ينادي للإيمان أن آمنوا بربكم فآمنا بنا إن 15 ر

Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyany-yunadi lil-imani an aminu bi Rabbikum fa'aamanna

O Our Lord! We have heard the call of one calling (Us) to Faith, 'Believe ye in the Lord,' and we have believed.

نا مع الأبرار عنا سيئاتنا وتوف 16 ربنا فاغف لنا ذنوبنا وكف

Rabbana faghfir lana dhunoobana wa kaffir 'ana sayyi'aatina wa tawaffana ma'al Abrar

O Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and wipe off us our evils and take our souls in the company of the righteous.

ك لا تخلف الميعادربنا وآتنا ما وعدتنا على رسلك ولا تخزنا يوم القيامة إن 17

Rabbana wa 'atina ma wa'adtana 'ala rusulika wa la tukhzina yawmal-Qiyamah innaka la tukhliful mi'aad

O Our Lord! And give us that what You have promised to us through Your Messengers; and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection. Undoubtedly You do not break the promise.

اهدين 18 ربنا آمنا فاكتبنا مع الش

Rabbana aamana faktubna ma' ash-shahideen

O Our Lord! We believe; write us down among the witnesses.

نك ربنا أنزل علينا مآئدة نا وآية م لنا وآخ و ماء تكون لنا عيدا لأ ن الس م

وارزقنا وأنت خير الرازقين 19

Rabbana anzil 'alayna ma'idatam minas-Samai tuknu lana 'idal li-awwa-lina wa aakhirna wa ayatam-minka war-zuqna wa anta Khayrul-Raziqeen

O Allah Our Lord, 'send down to us a tray of food from the heaven so that it may be an occasion of rejoicing for us, for the first and the last of us and a sign from You, and provide for us and you are the best of Providers.

ين ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغف لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاس 20

Rabbana zalamna anfusina wa il lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lana kuna minal-khasireen

O Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves, if You forgive us not and have not mercy on us, then certainly we are among losers.

المين 21 ربنا لا تجعلنا مع القوم الظ

Rabbana la taj'alna ma'al qawwmi-dhalimeen

O Our Lord! Keep us not with the unjust people.

وأنت خير الفاتحين ربنا افتح بيننا وبين قومنا بالحق 22 Rabbana afrigh bayana wa bayna qawmina bil haqqi wa anta Khayrul Fatiheen

O Our Lord! Decide between us and our people with truth and Your decision is the best.

نا غ علينا صبرا وتوف مسلمين ربنا أف 23

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabraw wa tawaffana Muslimeen

O Our Lord pour upon us patience and cause us to die as Muslims.

المين ين ;ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظ نا برحمتك من القوم الكاف ونج 24

Rabbana la taj'alna firnatal lil-qawmidh-Dhalimeen wa najjina bi-Rahmatika minal qawmil kafireen

Our Lord makes us not a test for unjust people. And deliver us by Your Mercy from the infidels.

ك تعلم ما نخفي وما نعلن وما يخفى على الله من شيء في الأرض ولا في ربنا إن

Rabbana innaka ta'iamu ma nukhfi wa ma nu'lin wa ma yakhfa 'alal-lahi min shay'in fil-ardi wa la fis-Sama'

O Our Lord, you know what we conceal and what we disclose. And nothing is concealed from Allah in the earth or in the heaven.

26 ربنا وتقبل دعاء

Rabbana wa taqabbal Du'a

O our Lord! And accept my Prayer.

27 ربنا اغف لي ولوالدي وللمؤمنين يوم يقوم الحساب

Rabbana ghfir li wa li wallidayya wa lil Mu'mineena yawma yaqumul hisaab

O our Lord, forgive me, and my parents and all Muslims on the Day when reckoning shall take place.

28 ربنا آتنا من لدنك رحمة وهيئ لنا من أمرنا رشدا

Rabbana 'atina mil-ladunka Rahmataw wa hayya lana min amrina rashada

O our Lord, 'grant to us mercy from yourself and provide for us guidance in our affair.

ط علينا أو أن يطغى نا نخاف أن يف 29 ربنا إن

Rabbana innana nakhafu any-yafruta 'alayna aw any-yatgha

O our Lord! 'Undoubtedly, we fear that he may commit excess against us or come before us with mischief.

30 ربنا آمنا فاغف لنا وارحمنا وأنت خير الراحمين

Rabbana amanna faghfir lana warhamna wa anta khayrur Rahimiin

O Our Lord; we believed so forgive us and have mercy upon us and You are the Best of merciful.

ها ساءت اما إن ا ومقاماربنا اصف عنا عذاب جهنم إن عذابها كان غ مستق 31 Rabbanas-rif 'anna 'adhaba jahannama inna 'adhabaha kana gharama innaha sa'at musta-qarranw wa muqama

O Our Lord', avert from us the torment of the Hell; undoubtedly, its torment is inseparable. Undoubtedly, that is a vile place of abode.

قين إماما ة أعين واجعلنا للمت ياتنا ق 32 ربنا هب لنا من أزواجنا وذرRabbana Hablana min azwaajina wadhurriy-yatina, qurrata 'ayioni wa-jalna lil-muttaqeena Imaama

O Our Lord', grant us from our lives and offspring the coolness of eyes and make us the leader of those who guard themselves against evil.

33 ربنا لغفور شكور

Rabbana la Ghafurun shakur

Our Lord is Forgiving, Appreciating.

حمة وعلما فاغف للذين تابوا واتبعوا سبيلك وقهم عذاب ربنا وسعت كل شيء ر

الجحيم 34

Rabbana wasi'ta kulla sha'ir Rahmatanw wa 'ilman faghfir lilladhina tabu wattaba'u sabilaka waqihim 'adhabal-Jahiim

O Our Lord; You comprehend everything in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repented and followed Your way and save them from the torment of Hell

ربنا وأدخلهم جنات عدن التي وعدتهم ومن صلح من آبائهم وأزواجهم

ك أنت ياتهم إن يئات يومئذ فقد وذر يئات ومن تق الس العزيز الحكيم وقهم الس

رحمته وذلك هو الفوز العظيم

Rabbana wa adhkhilum Jannati 'adninil-lati wa'attahum wa man salaha min aba'ihim wa azajihim wa dhuriyyatihim innaka antal 'Azizul-Hakim, waqihimus sayyi'at wa man taqis-sayyi'ati yawma'idhin faqad rahimatahu wa dhalika huwal fawzul-'Adheem

O Our Lord! Admit them into gardens of habitation which you have promised them, as well as those who are righteous of their fathers and wives and children. Undoubtedly, You are the Honourable, the Wise. And save them from the adversity of sins, and whomsoever you save from the adversity of sin that day then no doubt, You have shown mercy upon him. And this is the great triumph.

بنا اغف لنا ولخواننا الذين سبقونا باليمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلا للذين ر

آمنوا36

Rabbana-ghfir lana wa li 'ikhwani nalladhina sabaquna bil imani wa la taj'al fi qulubina ghillal-lilladhina amanu

O our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in the faith, and put not into our hearts any rancour towards those who believe. O our Lord! Undoubtedly, you are the Beneficent the Merciful.

حيم ك رؤوف ر 37 ربنا إن

Rabbana innaka Ra'ufur Rahim

O Our Lord! Undoubtedly, you are Beneficent, Most Merciful.

لنا وإليك أنبنا وإليك المصير بنا عليك توك 38 ر

Rabbana 'alayka tawakkalna wa-ilayka anabna wa-ilaykal masir

O Our Lord! In You do we put our trust and to You do we turn, and to You is the final return.

ك أنت العزيز الحكيم وا واغف لنا ربنا إن 39 ربنا لا تجعلنا فتنة للذين كفRabbana la taj'alna fitnatal lilladhina kafaru waghfir lana Rabbana innaka antal 'Azizul-Hakim

O our Lord! Put not us in a trial of those who disbelieve, and forgive us our Lord, undoubtedly You are The Esteemed one, The Wise.

ك على كل شيء قدير 40 ربنا أتمم لنا نورنا واغف لنا إن

Rabbana atmim lana nurana waighfir lana innaka 'ala kulli shay-in qadir

O our Lord!!, complete our lights for us and forgive us'. Undoubtedly, You have authority over everything.
