In Fayette County, i t i s ordered tha t the 1939 Grade Crossing Program be modified to include a project providing f o r f l a s h i n g - l i g h t signals a t the in tersec t ion of U. S. Highway 77 and the M.K.T. Railroad i n La Grange at a t o t a l estimated cost of $2,500, and the Stabs Highway Engineer i s directed to submit a request to the Chief Engineer of the M.K.T. Railroad and to the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads providing f o r t h i s program modi f i ca t ion .
In Galveston County, PWA Docket Ho. 1968-RB, Oalveston Causeway, concerning claims Hos. 1,2,4,5 and 6, i n the amounts of $698.96, $1091.2f, $440.54, $388.13 and $645.10, respect ively, of The T e r r e l l B a r t l e t t Engineers f o r reimbursement and compensation f o r addi t iona l expenses i n -curred and add i t iona l services rendered i n the performance of engineering services f o r t h i s p ro jec t , i t i s ordered that the claim of The T e r r e l l B a r t l e t t Engineers i n the amount of $3,263.98 be paid.

In Garza County, U. S. Highway Ho. 380, S.R.W.R. 92, Section 2, which provides f o r the construction of grading, drainage structures and f l e x i b l e hase from Post west to the Lynn County l i n e , cannot be carr ied to completion wi th the present allotment of State funds.
I t i s therefore ordered by the Commission that $9,700.00 addi-t i ona l State funds be appropriated to permit the completion of the o r i g i n a l l y proposed work.

In Grimes County, on Highway No. 105, i t i s ordered that a project be added to the 1939 Regular federal Aid Program covering the construction of two bridges and the approaches t o such bridges between P lan te r sv i l l e and the Montgomery County l ine at a t o t a l estimated cost of $30,000, and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to suhmit a request to the U. S. Bureau o f Public Roads providing f o r t h i s program modif ica-t i o n .
In Hemphill and Lipsoomb Counties, i t i s ordered that the 1939 Regular Federal Aid Program be modif ied to provide f o r the addit ion of a landscape project designed to a f f o r d protection against wind erosion on U. S. Highway 60 between the Canadian River and Higgins a t a t o t a l e s t i -mated cost of $10,000 and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to submiib a request to the U. S, Bureau of Public Roads providing f o r th is program m o d i f i c a t i o n .
In Hidalgo County, i t i s ordered tha t the 1939 Secondary Highway Program be modified to withdraw the item providing f o r surfacing on Highway 107 extending from the Cameron County l i n e west to L a V i l l a a t a t o t a l estimated cost of $50,000. This ac t ion i s considered proper since the In te rna t iona l Boundary Commission, under author i ty recently granted by the Legis la ture , has pet i t ioned the Highway Department f o r r i g h t - o f -way across t h i s highway to permit improvements on the north floodway, i nvo lv ing approximately 1.0 mile of highway relocat ion Including a new bridge wi th in ths l i m i t s o f the surfacing pro jec t proposed fo r program withdrawal above. In withdrawing t h i s pro jec t , commitment i s made to provide f o r surfacing at such time as the 1.0 mile of highway relocation has been provided f o r and i s ready to be surfaced w i t h the remaining mileage.
I t is f u r t h e r ordered that the 1939 Secondary Highway Program be modified to provide fo r the addi t ion o f a p ro jec t i n Gil lespie County proposing the construction of Live Oak Creek Bridge and,approaches"on Highway 16, extending from approximate l y 3.0 miles northeast of Pederna-les School northeast a distance of approximately 1.5 miles, a t a t o t a l estimated cost of $50,000, and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to suhmit requests to the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads providing f o r the program modificat ions authorized above.

Whereas, Mr. Hodges et ux have executed a deed to the State of Texas f o r addit ional r ight -of-way on revised locat ion which they w i l l de l iver i n exchange f o r reconveyance by the State of the abandoned r ight j f of-way.
I t i s , therefore , ordered by the Commission that the Governor bej requested to execute a deed reoonveying to J. T. Hodges et ux, Minnie B.j Hodges, the unused portions of the lands acquired from them f o r the for-! mer locat ion of Highway Ho. 117, on condition that J. T. Hodges et ux I w i l l del iver to the State, without cost, the deed they executed f o r j addi t ional r ight -of-way necessary fo r the re locat ion of said highway. j
In Midland County, an increased appropriation o f $2,500.00 i s j hereby made f o r the completion of FAS 70-A, Control 463-3-1, Feeder j Highway. This overrun i n cost i s caused by necessity fo r increasing the quanti t ies , of spr ink l ing and r o l l i n g to obtain sa t i s fac to ry construction!

Minute No. 16078 authorizing the State Highway Engineer to pro-ceed with the construction of that section of State Highway 101 i n Scurry County from Dunn south f o r a distance of approximately 0.55 miles a t a t o t a l estimated cost of $27,000.00 i s hereby amended to provide tha the l i m i t s of t h i s project be extended to include that section between a point 0.55 miles south of Dunn to the M i t c h e l l County l i n e , a distance of approximately 2.15 miles , and that the State Highway Engineer be authorized to improve such sections of t h i s project as a Stake-sponsored W.P.A. project as he may elect , and an appropriation of $13,208 i s here-by made to defray the State 's part of the expense of t h i s improvement.

In Sutton County, on U. S. Highway No. 277, i t i s ordered that a project be added to the 1939 Regular Federal Aid Program covering the construction of a bridge and necessary approaches approximately 6.0 mile^ north o f Sonora at a t o t a l estimated cost of $25,000, and the State High way Engineer i s directed to submit a request to the U.S. Bureau of Pub- j l i e Roads providing f o r th is program modi f i ca t ion .
In Tarrant County, i t i s ordered that a pro jec t be added to the i 1939 Asphalt Program providing f o r surfacing on Highway 15 between Bi rd- ' v i l l e and Euless a distance of approximately 10.3 miles at an estimated cost of $20,000 and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to prepare plans and receive bids f o r t h i s construction.
In Travis County, an increase appropriation in the amount of $10,800 is hereby made fo r completion of PAP 4 and 4B, Controls 15-11-10 and 15-11-9, U. S. Highway 81, i n order to provide fo r desirable changes i n concrete curb design, increase storm sewer f a c i l i t i e s , and minor v a r i | t ions i n other contract items.
