    In Angelina County, on Highway Uo. 103 from Lufk in to a point approximately 3.3 miles east of L u f k i n , i t is ordered t h a t Minute Ho. 15927 dated January 23, 1939 be modified i n respect to project finances to provide f o r the construction of grading, drainage structures and sur-fac ing f rom State funds at a t o t a l estimated cost of $130,000, and the State Highway Engineer i s direoted to expedite tha completion of plans and the receipt of bids on t h i s p ro jec t .

    I t i s ordered by the Commission that an appropriation i n the amount o f $2,850.00 be made t o cover the cost of maintaining a 20.79 mile section of State Highway 72, from a point .997 mile northeast of Bee-Karnes County l ine t o Three Rivers, i n Bee, Karnes and Live Oak | Counties, f o r the remainder of the f i s c a l year.     I t i s ordered hy the Highway Commission that a spur be designated from U. S. Highway Ho, 62 north in to the town of Lorenzo i n Crosby County to Third Street , a t o t a l distance of approximately 2,000 f e e t .

    In Duval County, on Highway Ho. 9 6 i n the southern por t ion of t h | town of San Diego , i t i s ordered tha t a pedestrian walk be placed on the ex is t ing bridge a t San Diego Creek, together w i t h necessary pedestrian

    f a c i l i t i e s on the bridge approaches. An appropriation i s hereby made i n the amount of $4000.00 f o r t h i s work to be accomplished by the State Highway Engineer by day-labor methods.

    In Fayette County, i t i s ordered tha t the 1939 Grade Crossing Program be modified to include a project providing f o r f l a s h i n g - l i g h t signals a t the in tersec t ion of U. S. Highway 77 and the M.K.T. Railroad i n La Grange at a t o t a l estimated cost of $2,500, and the Stabs Highway Engineer i s directed to submit a request to the Chief Engineer of the M.K.T. Railroad and to the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads providing f o r t h i s program modi f i ca t ion .

    In Galveston County, PWA Docket Ho. 1968-RB, Oalveston Causeway, concerning claims Hos. 1,2,4,5 and 6, i n the amounts of $698.96, $1091.2f, $440.54, $388.13 and $645.10, respect ively, of The T e r r e l l B a r t l e t t Engineers f o r reimbursement and compensation f o r addi t iona l expenses i n -curred and add i t iona l services rendered i n the performance of engineering services f o r t h i s p ro jec t , i t i s ordered that the claim of The T e r r e l l B a r t l e t t Engineers i n the amount of $3,263.98 be paid.

    In Garza County, U. S. Highway Ho. 380, S.R.W.R. 92, Section 2, which provides f o r the construction of grading, drainage structures and f l e x i b l e hase from Post west to the Lynn County l i n e , cannot be carr ied to completion wi th the present allotment of State funds.

    I t i s therefore ordered by the Commission that $9,700.00 addi-t i ona l State funds be appropriated to permit the completion of the o r i g i n a l l y proposed work.

    In Grimes County, on Highway No. 105, i t i s ordered that a project be added to the 1939 Regular federal Aid Program covering the construction of two bridges and the approaches t o such bridges between P lan te r sv i l l e and the Montgomery County l ine at a t o t a l estimated cost of $30,000, and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to suhmit a request to the U. S. Bureau o f Public Roads providing f o r t h i s program modif ica-t i o n .

    In Hemphill and Lipsoomb Counties, i t i s ordered that the 1939 Regular Federal Aid Program be modif ied to provide f o r the addit ion of a landscape project designed to a f f o r d protection against wind erosion on U. S. Highway 60 between the Canadian River and Higgins a t a t o t a l e s t i -mated cost of $10,000 and the State Highway Engineer i s directed to submiib a request to the U. S, Bureau of Public Roads providing f o r th is program m o d i f i c a t i o n .

    In Travis County, an increase appropriation in the amount of $10,800 is hereby made fo r completion of PAP 4 and 4B, Controls 15-11-10 and 15-11-9, U. S. Highway 81, i n order to provide fo r desirable changes i n concrete curb design, increase storm sewer f a c i l i t i e s , and minor v a r i | t ions i n other contract items.
