NOVENA There will be a Novena-Mass this coming Wednes-day, February 4, in honor of our Mother of Perpetual Help. The Novena-Mass is celebrated (in English) at St. Lucy every first Wednesday of the month at 6PM. On other Wednesdays, the Novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help is observed at 6:30PM pre-ceded by the praying of the Holy Rosary at Everyone is invited.
Mardi Gras Celebration Cancelled The Mardi Gras cultural potluck celebration, scheduled for Satur-day 2/14, has been cancelled. Seeing as how it was scheduled for St. Valentine’s Day, the Community Life Commission wanted parishioners to enjoy time with their loved ones on that day. There will be more fun parish-wide events occurring later in the year.
PRO-LIFE MINISTRY
The next meeting of the Pro-Life Ministry will be held on Thurs-day, February 5 at 3:30pm in the PAC. The “40 Days of Life” Spring Campaign will be discussed which begins on February 18, Ash Wednesday. All are welcome.
Why are some Christians bored and apathetic in their practice of the faith?
The answer is that they have probably not undergone a spiritual awakening. They have no personal ex-perience of the presence and power of Jesus Christ in their lives.
The Catholic tradition has inspiring and practical teachings about how to undergo a spiritual awaking. This is the theme of Fr. Kevin Joyce’s next Spirit-Seeker Seminar based on Ralph Martin’s book The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints (p.17-46). All are welcome.

La Novena-Misa se celebra (en Inglés) en la Iglesia de Santa Lucia cada primer miércoles del mes a las 6PM. En los otros miércoles, la Novena a Nues-tra Madre del Perpetuo Socorro se observa a las 6:30 PM empezando con un Rosario a las 6PM. Todos están invitados.
