SPECIALIST: INTEGRATED SHEQ MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS The successful candidates will have to meet the following minimum requirements: • Must have Relevant 3 year Degree or BTech or NHD or equivalent qualification. • Total Quality Management (TQM) Qualification • Qualified auditor in ISO 9001, 14001 & OSHAS 18001 • Proficiency in the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 • Must have at least 5-8 years relevant experience within a Ferro alloy or mining business environment • 5 years audit experience (ISO/SHEQ/Internal/External) - essential • 5-8 years supervisory experience is essential • Must be computer literate and also have good communication skills in English. The position reports to the Superintendent: Environment and Quality and the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include amongst others: • Coordinate, maintain and continually improve the effectiveness of the company’s integrated SHEQ management system. Promotion of a culture of quality performance throughout the organization • Formulation, implement and maintain an effective system for IMS system document control and record retention, protection, retrieval and disposition of such records. • Coordinate and ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the electronic document management system and electronic SHEQ management systems. • Coordinate and lead a team of System Administrators to assist Business Units in the effective implementation and maintenance of the IMS. • Manage, support and advice direct SHEQ reports • Set objectives to measure performance of the IMS and review on regular basis • Conduct research on the effectiveness and impact of quality initiatives and actions. Devise and implement strategies for improving quality awareness. • Develop and implement an internal audit system. Schedule yearly audit plans. Perform internal IMS audits. • Liaise with external certification bodies to plan and execute certification, surveillance audits and SHEQ compliance audits. • To proactively assist management in the drive to foster SHEQ sustainability and continual improvement.
