Tis edition reproduces ffese triosonatas for fute, fesiola da gamba and B.c. containedin four manuscripts of the Universität- und Landesbibliothek Darmstadt and onemanuscript of the Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Dresden. With the addition of thetwo triosonatas included in the Essercizii Musici (twv42:h4 with fute and twv42:f3with recorder) – also published by VistaMare Musica –, they cofeser all extant Telemanntriosonates for woodwinds and fesiola da gamba. Te source manuscripts are listed in thetable of contents.

Te original text has been reproduced without any alteration, except as noted below.

E d i t o r i a l r e m a r k s

• All editorial additions are placed abofese the staff or marked by doted lines or parentheses.• Original clefs, time signatures, note fesalues, ties, slurs, bar lines and beamings hafese been retained.• Original clefs are retained in the score; in the separate parts, clefs more common today hafese been

occasionally preferred.• All marked accidentals hafese been retained, efesen when superfuous according to modern confesen-

tions; howefeser, they hafese been silently ‘modernised’ when today confesentions dictate adifferent sign (i.e.: a sharp used to raise a fatened note has been confeserted to a natural sign).

• All 1. and 2. fesoltas are editorial typographic additions; the source only had the changing partof the two measures, marked by a curfesed line underneath; for this edition measures hafesebeen completed.

• Accidentals abofese the staff or in small type between parentheses are editorial suggestions.• All originals were in three separate parts, with the exception of n° 2 (twv 42:f5) which was

original arranged in a score; for this edition they hafese all been set into score format.

C r i t i c a l n o t e s :

1. Measure added later. (1-last, m.18)2. Original: (2-IV, m.49)3. Measure partially unreadable in the source. (4-I, m.11)4. Original: B corrected into A. (5-II, m.13)
