What’s Hazelwood like?

426 students (K-6) A staff of 50 caring and skilled

adults The facility was originally built in

1967 and remodeled in 1993. We house the district’s program for

visually impaired students and two intensive support classes.

Our Facilities

We have five main buildings Unit 1 houses five classrooms of 1st & 2nd

graders and a central classroom for small groups.

Unit 2 houses five classrooms for 5th & 6th graders and a central classroom for small groups.

Unit 3 houses five classrooms for 3rd & 4th graders and central classroom for small groups and computer work.

We have a large gymnasium/cafeteria, music room, kitchen, custodial area, and problem solving room.

The main building houses the office, health room, the library and computer lab, the visually impaired classroom, two intensive support classrooms, and four other classrooms.

Safety is important at Hazelwood. Our student safety patrol members, staff members, and volunteers help us stay safe. Most of our students come to and from school by bus.
