Staff Needed
Incorrect information... please call the Assn office, 405.273.4558.
One of the highlights of our year at PLBA is Associational Children's Camp (ACC) at Falls Creek. This year's camp was no exception. We had churches from our association represented at each of the two camps, which were held May 27-30 and May 30-June 2. Wayne and Shannon Knight di-rected our combined group of churches from PLBA during the first camp. They did a great job. Thanks, guys! The over-all ACC is planned, coordinated, conducted, and evaluated by 15 Directors of Missions. I served as Interim Director this year (with the res-ignation of Chuck Utsler, former Director). Next year I will serve as Director. Please pray that we will have the wisdom of God throughout the year of planning. This year our theme was "I AM." Pastors Todd Fisher, Immanuel of Shawnee, and Blake Gideon, First Baptist of Inola, presented a clear gospel message at every service. As a result, we saw 546 children saved, 53 gain assurance of their salvation, 115 make rededications, and 42 surrender to missions or ministry! To God be the glory!!! Pray that the respective churches from which these children came to camp will follow-up on each of these decisions and genuine disciples will be developed in the years ahead. Next year's dates for ACC will be May 26-29 and May 29-June 1. For more information access our website www.associationalchildrenscamp.com. You may also go to that website to see many photos taken during both camps of the children enjoying the numerous activities.
Encouragingly Yours, Russell R. Cook

"Jesus, the 'I AM' God"
As with God the Father (Exodus 3:14), Jesus refers to Himself as the 'I AM' God of the Bible. In the gospel of John, Jesus uses this title at least seven specific times to explain Who He is and what He has accomplished for us. The following are these seven occurrences, each of which could be a sermon by itself.
I. I am THE BREAD OF LIFE (John 6:35). A. He satisfies our spiritual appetite (v. 35a). B. He quenches our spiritual thirst (v. 35b).
II. I am THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD (John 8:12). A. He expels the darkness of sin. B. He exudes the light of righteousness.
III. I am THE DOOR (John 10:7, 9). A. He is the door through which we find salvation (v. 7). B. He is the door through which we find safety (v. 9).
IV. I am THE GOOD SHEPHERD (John 10:11, 14). A. He was willing to die for His sheep (v. 11). B. He maintains a relationship with His sheep (v. 14).
V. I am THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE (John 11:25). A. Salvation is by faith (v. 25a). B. Salvation is secure (v. 25b).
VI. I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE (John 14:6) A. For those who are lost, He is the Way. B. For those who are deceived, He is the Truth. C. For those who are dead in their sin, He is the Life.
VII. I am THE TRUE VINE (John 15:1-5). A. He is the Vine in which we abide (v. 4). B. He is the Vine through which we bear fruit (v. 5).
Without question, Jesus is the 'I AM' God. He is to you and for you every-thing you will ever need for godly living and eternal security in heaven. Surrender your life to Him today. - rrc

Book Nook: Lies Women Believe (and The Truth That Sets Them Free) by Nancy
Leigh DeMoss DeMoss exposes areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women - lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage, family, emotions and more. “Many women live under a cloud of personal guilt and condemnation,” says DeMoss. “Many are in bondage to their past. Others are gripped by fear of rejection and a longing for approval. Still others are emotional prisoners.” She offers the most effective weapon to counter and overcome Satan’s decep-tions—God’s truth! This is a “Must-Read” for ALL women!
A NUGGET FROM MY SPIRITUAL JOURNEY… We are currently attending the Southern Baptist Convention and I will give a full report next month. All the time I have been gone I am reminded of the training and example of my mother, who went home to be with the Lord a year ago today. I want to encour-age each of you this month to read Proverbs 31:10-31 as a reminder of the kind of lady God designed each of us to be.
10A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes cover-ings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the mer-chants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed.
