9. If the desired comfort level is notachieved after this time, increase the fanspeed. Lower fan speeds provide quieteroperation.
Your cooler is fully operational when youreceive it, and is ready to provide hours ofefficient cooling.
As with many new items, your cooler mayhave a 'new' cooler odour when first used. This may persist for 4-8 hours, but will fadewith use.
To assist with this process, you can drain thewater tank and refill with clean water afterapprox. ½ hour.
Warning! Ensure the cooler is switched offand the plug is removed from the powersocket before performing anymaintenance.
To clean the exterior of the cooler, use adamp cloth and mild household detergent.
At the end of each season it is advisable tocarry out some simple maintenance on yourcooler. This will help maintain its highperformance. Follow the next few steps.
1. Drain the water from the cooler. Move thecooler to a drain and remove the drain pluglocated on the bottom of the tank (Fig 08).When the cooler is empty replace the plug inthe tank.

3. Wash the pad with a gentle spray ofwater while it is still in the rear panel (Fig10). Do not use a high pressure hose toclean the pad. Replace the pad if salt (awhite coating) has built-up and reducedthe cooler’s performance.
10ILL1267-A
5. Clean the tank and the perforatedwater strainer located in the tank (Fig 12).Remove any foreign matter. This willensure that the strainer does not clog upduring operation.
4. For Climate Wizard coolers only, cleanor replace the filter every three months, orsooner as required. The filter can bevacuumed or cleaned with water, however, to maintain maximumperformance it is recommended that thefilter be replaced. To remove the filter, disengage the filter cartridge clips (Fig 11)at the top rear of the cooler while liftingthe cartridge up and outwards.
11ILL1281-A
How to get the best coolingperformance
Place the cooler with its back near to an openwindow or door so it can draw in 100% freshair.
Open another window or door on the oppositeside of the room for “flow through” ventilation. This cooler will not cool properly in a closedroom (Fig 7).
