FaithfulQuestionswithDeaconKenTuesday,October87:00pminMorrisCenter Deacon Ken’s Adult Faith Formation Seminar series is back and already underway for this scholastic year. Don’t worry if you missed the September session, because the next session (always the 2nd Tuesday of the month) is coming up! This month the topic is "What does the Church teach about the death Penalty?" You may have read headlines in the last year about Pope Francis making changes to the Catechism in regard to the Death Penalty. In this session we’ll talk about those changes and what has remained constant. We’ll also talk about the development of doctrine by the Church over the centuries.

Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor priesthood in the United States. It is a day to reflect upon and affirm the role of the priesthood in the life of the Church as a central one. This is a day to specifically honor our parish priests, without whom the Mass could not be offered and sacraments could not be celebrated. Because the number of priests and ordina ons in the United States has steadily declined in the past 50 years, the men who answer the call to priesthood are special indeed, and they are working harder than ever before.

You are invited to join other Christians for 40DaysforLife– 40 days of prayer, vigil and fasting for an end to abortion.
