Mångata at St Kilda Life saving Club is Melbourne’s newest and most exciting event space. Positioned on the top floor of the newly redeveloped St Kilda Life Saving Club, the room offers uninterrupted views of Port Phillip Bay and St Kilda foreshore. This sets the tone for an amazing backdrop both during the day and of an evening.

Just a short drive from Melbourne’s CBD, and surrounded by the many attractions that make up St Kilda, Mångata is one of Melbourne’s best beachfront venues.

The venue itself is drenched in natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows, polished timber floors throughout, stair and lift access; all whilst being positioned right on St Kilda’s beach.

With impressive menu options from well-known Melbourne caterer ACC, Mångata provide the highest quality food, wine and service for your big day. With no set packages, and a creative list of options, we can assure you that your event will be unique and represent your personal tastes.

Whilst we specialise in cocktail events, we can also cater for smaller seated functions. The

room itself is an adaptable space which includes petitions, so events can be as small as 60 people, or as high as 160. Room hire fees and minimum spends may apply, so please chat to our award winning Events Coordinator to get an accurate quote for your event. Mångata is surrounded by a multitude of major hotels including Novotel & The Prince Hotel. This, along with close proximity to public transport, makes this venue ideal for both local guests, and those who travel.

Duration of Event

Events booked at Mångata have exclusive use of the booked room for up to 6 hours duration. Functions must begin no later than 6PM, and are to finish no later than 12AM (midnight). If additional time is required, a minimum charge of $5.00 per adult applies for every extra hour (dependant on selected drinks package).

Entertainment

We understand that the entertainment you bring to your event is integral to the success of the occasion. While people often choose to have a DJ, some prefer to engage a band. Both forms of entertainment can be booked, however we request that you consult with us before booking a band. Rarely do we have an issue with the volume, however, if the noise level becomes excessive we may require that the volume be lowered.

Menus

We offer a wide variety of menus to suit your style and our menus are set out with this information for your consideration, however, if there is something in particular that you would like served, please talk to us as we can design a menu specifically to suit your needs.

We have taken great lengths in assuring that our external caterer will look after any alterations and dietary requirements, but please understand that changes may incur costs. It is important that you advise us of any special dietary requirements and equally important that we cater for these. We are accustomed to providing vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free (coeliac) and allergy specific meals, not preference specific.

Deliveries Please ensure that all deliveries for your event are arranged with your coordinator, there are strict delivery times that must be followed and in line with the Life Saving Clubs Guidelines.

Ticketed parking is available at the St Kilda Sea Baths and also across the road on Jacka Boulevard.

Room Hire Fee

$500 room hire fee includes a deposit to the Life Saving Club, set up and pack down. Cleaning of the event will be an additional $150.

Our canapé packages provide flexibility and value, allowing you to create the perfect package to suit your event. All items on our finger food/canapé menus are hand crafted and prepared on site from quality locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Complementing our marvelous menu items ACC Catering provides experienced Chefs and event staff and all service requirements which are included in the menu price.
