ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
University VOC College of Engineering was established
in the year 2009 and is one of the Constituent College of Anna
University, Chennai. Our College offers 5 UG courses - Civil
Engineering (English & Tamil Medium), Geoinformatics
Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering,
Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
(English & Tamil Medium).
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in
2009. The department offers B.E program in Civil Engineering
(English and Tamil Medium) and Geoinformatics (Branch of Civil
Engineering). The department has well experienced and qualified
faculties with various specializations such as Water Resources
Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Remote Sensing,
Construction Management, Transportation Engineering and
Environmental Engineering.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Geoinformatics Engineering, the Branch of civil
engineering has planned to organize a National Level Technical
Workshop on “TOTALSTATION IN DIGITAL LAND
SURVEIYNG” with objective of extending the knowledge of
surveying into the advancement of totalstation. The motto of this
workshop is to strengthen and enhance the students in recent land
surveying techniques. Limited seats of 20 STUDENTS are
allowed.
Note: Registration fee ₹ 500 will be collected for
taking part in this workshop.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The Department of Civil Engineering of University
VOC College of Engineering has planned to organize a
National Level Technical Symposia “TERZAGHI 2K19”
.The main objective of conducting this symposium is to
enhance the talents from students of TAMIL and ENGLISH
medium of instructions. The motto of this symposium is to
preach the advanced technologies in all fields of Civil
Engineering.
An amount of Rs 200/- per head will be collected to get
participated in the Symposium.
TERZAGHI’19 (Instructions for the candidates)
CADD MODELLING:
The Participant should participate in this event individually.
First round will be preliminary round containing 20 multiple choice questions regarding to auto CAD duration : 20 mins.
Final round will be drawing using auto CAD duration: 45 mins.
Decision of organizers will be final.
SURVEYING: Two members participate in this event. First round will be preliminary test. Required instruments are provided. duration : 45 mins. Results should be submitted in a neat manner. Decision of organizers will be final.
CONNEXION A team of two students is allowed. First round will be a preliminary round containing
15 multiple choice technical questions.Duration-15 Minutes.
Only the top five teams will be selected for the final round which contains oral questions.
Judge decision will be the final.
CODE CRACKING: Two members participate in this event. First round will be preliminary test. Required code books are provided. duration : 45 mins. Decision of organizers will be final.
TERZAGHI’19 (Instructions for the candidates)
PAPER PRESENTATION: Students can present paper either in Tamil or
English. A team of two students is allowed. Single
participant is also welcomed. A soft copy of Full paper must be submitted
through mail ([email protected]) on or before 12/03/2019.
Presentation must not have videos, animation and sounds.
Presentation Time: 10 Minutes.Interaction Time : 5 Minutes.
Judge decision will be the final.
POSTER PRESENTATION: A team of two students is allowed.
Single participant is also welcomed. The Poster presented must be of A2
size. Presentation Time: 10 Minutes. Interaction Time: 5 Minutes. Judge decision will be the final.
TECHNICAL QUIZ: A team of two students is allowed. First round will be a preliminary round
containing 15 multiple choice technical questions.Duration-15 Minutes.
Only the top five teams will be selected for the final round which contains oral questions.
