A SUDDEN GUST OF WIND Image making + Game Engine Technologies Sebastian Tiew Weds am: 10:00 - 13:00 *this course runs in Term 2 only All sessions will be taught online
Study for ‘A Sudden Gust of Wind (After Hokusai)’, Jeff Wall, 1993
A Sudden Gust of Wind (after Hokusai) by Jeff wall explores how an image is constructed through processes of layering, collaging and framing in order to achieve its desired composition. Learning from Wall, we will build fictional landscapes that create a sense of time and dynamic movement, around a main protagonist.
Starting with this character on a looping walk cycle animation, this course will use gaming technologies, 3D workflows and composition techniques to explore concepts of set-design, lighting and composition in order to construct an image virtually.
