• Avaya Aura это НЕ телефонная станция, это РЕШЕНИЕ

• Включает в себя АТС, AES, AAC, AACC и др.

• Телефонных станций стало две:

• Session Manager (SIP)

• Communication Manager (всё остальное)

• Material Code and Price is the same for both

• Since they are just administrable options for the same software

• Simple to administer

• Just a single field in the CM SIP trunk configuration to Avaya AuraTM Session Manager

• Must purchase Session Manager to deploy Communication Manager as a feature server

• Must purchase Session Manager to deploy SIP terminals with the evolution server option

16

Communication Manager 6.0 Deployment Options Defined

Page 17: AA6_CM_RRC

Communication Manager 6.0 Deployment Options Compared

• Feature server is the descriptor for the option of deploying Communication Manager 6.0 in the core or remote, in half call model, supporting only SIP endpoints with full application sequencing

• SIP Endpoints register with Session Manager • Communication Manager employs the half call model• Supports only G450/G430 gateways• Supports full application sequencing

• Evolution server is the descriptor for the option of deploying CM 6.0 in the core or remote, in full call model, supporting both SIP and non-SIP endpoints with limited application sequencing

• H.323/Digital/Analog endpoints register with Communication Manager• SIP endpoints register with Session Manager • All endpoints receive service from Communication Manager• Only supports implicit sequencing (limited application sequencing)• Communication Manager employs the full call model• Supports all current Communication Manager gateways and Port Networks

The Template

Page 29: AA6_CM_RRC

Communication Manager on System Platform

• All instances of Communication Manager 6.0 run on System Platform

– CM is in its own virtualized machine (VM) and does not “own the hardware”

• All platform (Server-type) items managed by System Platform

• Installation via a solution template (CM with BSM & …) after System Platform installed

• The five CM 6.x templates are all packaged in a single CM_super.iso

– CM_Duplex, CM_Simplex, CM_onlyEmbed, CM_SurvRemote, CM_SurvRemoteEmbed

– And two separate templates

• Provides a low-cost and easy-to-install solution that includes call answering and basic messaging capabilities.

• Delivers voice, fax, and text messaging to help improve communications and simplify information exchange between enterprises.

• With every Communication Manager Enterprise there is an entitlement for the first 500 mailboxes. Additional mailboxes are available for a fee.

• With every Communication Manager Standard, CM Messaging Mailboxes are available for a fee.• Voice messaging: Users can record a spoken message, address it, and send it to other Avaya Aura™

Communication Manager Messaging users.• Call Answering: Helps ensure that information can be left in user’s voicemail while they are away from

their workplace or on the phone.• Call Answer Disclaimer: Helps ensure that critical information is given to all callers who leave a

message, such as a timeframe as to when the call will be returned.• Calling Party Identification: Provides the telephone number of the incoming call in the header of the

message.• Automated Attendant: Helps improve Customer satisfaction and employee productivity by answering

incoming calls with a prerecorded announcement and routes the call based on the caller's response to menus and prompts.

• Networking: CMM can be networked with other Avaya messaging platforms to help improve communications across geographic locations and time zones.

Why Avaya ?

38

Avaya CM over 700+ Features

Cisco CUCM over 200+ Feature

Avaya CM runs on approximately 10M lines of code

CUCM runs on approximately 50M lines of code

Why Avaya ?

39

Ease of Operation

All Avaya servers run exactly the same software including remote ESS and LSP, upgrades, patches, adds, moves, changes, vectors, dial plan transparency are all automatically pushed down to survivable servers.

Complex Operation

Separate software and administration on Cisco’s CUCM and remote SRST Restrictions, announcement script logic, and transparency features have to be configured individually per site. This doubles the Administration task taking up valuable time increasing TCO.

Page 40: AA6_CM_RRC

Cisco Higher TCO Example

40

Cisco CUCM duplicating stations is not easy. Multiple steps and menus are required. The primary reason for this is the dependency of needing MAC addresses to be entered individually. With Avaya, up to 16 stations can be duplicated at once. At most, only the ‘Duplicate Station’ and ‘Change Station’ commands are required to fully configure an Avaya station. This adds more TCO expense for the high priced Cisco Certified Administrator.

Station Administration
