TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

All work is undertaken by

SNALAB A DIVISION OF SNA CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS (Pty) Ltd

And its agents (hereinafter referred as to as the Company) under the following terms and conditions. This applies to laboratory test work,

sampling, site investigations, consultations, opinions and any type of work carried out whether in terms of a specified contract or not.

All work undertaken by the Company is subject to the express condition that total liability of the Company , its

officers, servants, agents or subcontractors for loss or damage of any kind arising out of or caused by

negligence on its part, shall not in any circumstances exceed the fee charged by the Company for the work

undertaken.

In the absence of any specific agreement on a procedure to be used (in case where several procedures or

available or applicable) the Company will at its sole discretion determine the procedure to be used. The

Company will take all necessary precautions and action to endeavor to obtain the maximum precision and

accuracy on any work carried out within the limits imposed by such procedures adopted. If a client is aware of

any apparent inaccuracy in any results reported by the Company or opinions expressed by the Company, the

client shall immediately advise the Company accordingly, and allow the Company a reasonable opportunity to

check such results in opinions, and / or to amend them is necessary.

Unless prior consent of the Company is obtained in writing, any certificates or reports, whether handwritten or

typed, may only be reproduced or published in their full context.

All contracts with the Company shall be governed by and construed according to, and all claims against the

Company shall be determined according to the law of the Republic of South Africa by the appropriate Court of

the Republic of South Africa, to the exclusion of the jurisdiction of the Court of any other country.

Quotations that may be submitted by the Company to clients are based entirely on information supplied to the

Company by the client and will not under any circumstances be binding if such information supplied is found

to be incorrect or incomplete.

Instructions and / or orders for any sampling, analysis, survey, inspection or other work to be undertaken by the

Company must be clearly and precisely set out in writing at the time of submitting such instruction and / or

instructions proves to be incorrect.

All samples / materials submitted for test work of any nature must be clearly marked and identifiable.

In the case of samples being submitted by the client to the company, all results and / or opinions expressed are

representative only of the sample as received by the Company. Unless instructions are received to the contrary,

the Company will dispose of all excess sample material, specimen or exhibits as soon as the tests are completed

and the results reported. This excludes normal amounts of reserve sample material which will be retained for a

period of three months from date of completion of the assignment. If the Company should be required to

dispatch any samples or materials to a client or a third party, all costs of remitting such samples, including

associated telecommunication costs, will be borne by the client.

SNALAB is a DIVISION of SNA Civil and Structural Engineers (Pty) Ltd.

SNALAB consist of three permanent facilities located in Pretoria, Bloemfontein and Richardsbay

as well as various site laboratories.

• SNALAB Pretoria

The laboratory was established as “Padmaak Laboratorium Dienste” in 1961.

On 24th April 1981, the laboratory became member No 109 of the

South African Association for Civil Engineering Laboratories.

A new testing facility was constructed during 1997 in Samcorpark Pretoria.

The laboratory moved to 191 Vonkprop Street and was established under

the new logo, SNALAB Pretoria, on 29th October 1997.

SNALAB Pretoria is ISO 17025 accredited since June 2007

accreditation number : T0345

• SNALAB Richardsbay

The laboratory was established in July 1993 as a commercial testing laboratory

for the Alusaf project and other commercial work.

A single rate of tariffs apply and no supplements will

be levied for work done outside official working

Rates contained in this schedule are essentially for

casual testing however, active clients of long

standing will be able to negotiate rates.Rates not included in the list are available on request.

Management reserves the right to alter any rate without

prior notification.

TIME

All personnel time, whether for traveling, sampling

Discounts of 5% are offered for bulk testing and

only applicable if account is paid within 30 days of

CREDIT APPLICATION

PAYMENT

Our standard terms of payment are 30 days from

date of invoice. We reserve the right to charge

interest, calculated from 30 days after date of

invoice at the prevailing bank overdraft rate, on all

accounts still unpaid after 60 days from date of

invoice. After 90 days the account will be handed

over to a debt collection agency.

CLIENT PARTICULARS

In accordance with ISO 17025, SNALAB requires a

completed copy of our Credit Application Form

( Attached), from all clients. Work cannot commence

until the form has been received by SNALAB.
