Welcome to VoiceCon Orlando 2010! Cisco’s Commitment to Excellence You are the first line of contact customers will meet at the VoiceCon Orlando 2010. As Goodwill Ambassadors for Cisco, your commitment to exceed customer expectations is critical to the success of this event. Enthusiasm and energy should be evident in every task you do. Make the attendees believe you enjoy helping and serving them. They are VIPs at this event. Thank you for your contribution in making this event successful. Be prepared – read the ABC Employee Handbook! To provide excellent service to our customers, please make sure you read the ABC Employee Handbook. The ABC Employee Handbook provides information on your specific areas of responsibility as well as general information. Do not limit yourself to the area you will be working in. Attendees will ask a variety of questions; to optimize customer satisfaction, please ensure you can answer them as quickly as possible or refer them to someone who can. The better prepared we are, the more professional and efficient we will be. Should a problem arise, be discrete and forthright in its resolution. Don’t be limited to your assigned area! Be ready to join in where an extra hand is needed and don’t be afraid to ask for help! Cooperate as a team – help out when needed! If an attendee asks a question, and you don't know the answer, please offer to find someone who can answer their question. Please be courteous and helpful at all times.

A Agenda-At-A-Glance http://www.voicecon.com/orlando/program/ Airport Information The Orlando area is serviced by the Orlando International Airport (MCO), which will more than likely be your flight destination. For visitors needing information or directions, please visit http://www.orlandoairports.net:/goaa/main.htm. Please use a Mears shuttle van to get to your hotel in the Orlando area. A typical shuttle van fare is $20 one-way/$33 round-trip. Mears shuttle vans are available on Level 1 of the Main Terminal and run every 15-20 minutes. Taxis can be pricey versus the Mears shuttle. Mears URL: http://www.mearstransportation.com/ Analyst Relations Please contact Angela Collins at +44 7770 678 064 or Niki Hall at 408 406 9339 for any analyst-related issues and on-site activities during VoiceCon Orlando 2010.

Do’s and Don’ts

• Do...remember every conversation is considered “on the record”; some analysts will honor an NDA and AR can help you determine when NDA information is appropriate to be shared

• Do…know BODY LANGUAGE matters immensely. Being upbeat, confident (though not overly), and positive has a tremendous impact

• Do…know that the analysts are always listening and watching, so all conversations should be appropriate for the audience.

• Do…be courteous and find an AR or PR manager if approached with a question you are not comfortable addressing

• Don't...speak negatively about Cisco competitors • Don’t…discuss unannounced products, technologies, customer wins or initiatives • Don’t…comment on Cisco’s current business outlook or quarter • Don’t…speculate or provide inaccurate information—if you don’t know, say so and ask an AR

manager to follow-up • Don’t…comment on rumors or speculation

Cisco’s Evolving Partner Landscape: http://blogs.cisco.com/channels/comments/ciscos_evolving_partner_landscape/ DO'S & DON'Ts

• Do direct press/analysts who arrive for Executive Briefings to one of the PR/AR/IR team on site • Remember, everything you say is “on the record”. • If PR/AR reps are not available, ask for a business card, jot down the question, and give to

PR/IR/AR for follow-up • Do find out who everyone is before you speak with them • Do proactively engage with reporters and show interest in their publication and their areas of

interest. • Do talk about Cisco’s collaboration solutions priorities and how Cisco is helping to address

customer and industry challenges. • Remember that journalists do not appreciate aggressive ‘selling’ or ‘marketing speak’, so always

bring the conversation back to the benefit for customers and the industry. • Do engage in conversation around your area of expertise and remember to ask the journalist their

views and what they are hearing from the wider industry. • Do let people know what we’re announcing • Don’t comment on Cisco financial performance – your comments may affect Cisco share price in

the current volatile environment • Don’t talk about unannounced products or customers • Don’t speculate or provide inaccurate information—if you don’t know, say so and ask a PR/AR

manager to follow-up • Don’t make negative comments on competitors • Don’t provide customer contacts (PR, IAR and AR contacts will arrange these) • Don’t suggest Cisco spokespeople (PR, IAR and AR contacts will arrange these)

• Don’t forecast revenues or provide current revenues and/or bookings for business units, lines of business or product lines. Sometimes it is appropriate to discuss in ranges – but please remember that Cisco does not publicly disclose revenues at a granular level. Occasionally, we discuss annual bookings run-rates of key, strategic product lines, but please double-check with Investor Relations if you are not sure
