Impatti della Mid-term review della Capital Markets Union Impacts of the Capital Markets Union Mid-term review
The aim of the Capital Markets Union is to raise capital and enable it to be channelled to large, medium and small enterprise. It also seeks to give the financial system greater stability as well as boosting competition through increased financial integration attained by sharing cross-border risks, having liquid markets, diversified sources of financing and lower market entry costs. How do the objectives of the CMU meet bank profitability requirements, with particular reference to the service commissions component? In such a scenario, how do banks contribute to the capital market?

Variations in the composition and cost of bank funding have major implications for the supply of credit, economic output and inflation. A change to capital structure using instruments available triggers a change in the intermediation process. In such a scenario, what role is occupied by covered bonds and securitisation? How do these instruments relate to the growth opportunities for banks with their limits in terms of liquidity and access to the capital market and with the costs of existing alternatives?

Once upon a time, environmental Social and Governance factors (ESG) rarely concerned asset owners, asset managers, banks, brokers and investment advisors. This is no longer the case. Now, in addition to the more traditional financial and strategic pointers, these factors have become increasingly relevant for the evaluation of a company's future prospects. What is the role of green finance and what instruments are there on offer?
