ABOUT ATMIYA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS
Sarvodaya Kelavani Samaj is an academic area of
Yogi Divine Society, Haridham Sokhada near
Vadodara. It has been essentially engaged in
imbibing cultural, religious and moral values
among youth through education and social
activities. As a prelude to achieve this aim, H.D.H.
Hariprasad Swamiji who is the mentor of this
organization and stresses on high moral character
and preservation of divine culture those we have
inherited. Atmiya Group of Institutions (AGI) is
striving to fulfil the mission of H.D.H. Swami
Hariprasaddasji to make all the students
competent professionals and excellent human

ABOUT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The department of Electrical Engineering at Atmiya
Institute of Technology & Science offers a vibrant
environment for education and research in
Electrical Engineering. The Department is offering
B.E. (Electrical) since A.Y. 2001-02 and M.E.
(Electrical - Power Electronics & Electrical Drives)
since A.Y. 2012-13 having intake of 120 and 24
respectively. The department is currently engaged
in research in many areas of Electrical Engineering
including Power Systems, Energy Studies, Power
Electronics, Electrical Drives, High Voltage
engineering etc. The department is the pioneer to
develop Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory in
the entire Saurashtra region.

This workshop is open for the final year
Under-Graduate students of Electrical
Engineering from Atmiya Institute of
Technology & Science only. The number of
participants will be limited to 30 in number is
based on First Come First Serve basis.

BENEFITS FROM WORKSHOP
Industries need proper application
systems to control and monitor instruments.
PLC is a programmable logic controller. It
consists of programmable micro controller
and it is programmed using a specialized
computer language and the user can program
in several languages. Controllers are designed
for real time use and it can withstand harsh
environments and it contains a variety of
input and output ports with sensor units.
These sensor units can control output
actuators like motor starters, displays, lights
and valves.
SCADA as by it name do the role of
supervisory control and data acquisition. It is
used in developing process management
criteria and it allows for quick retrieval in
different scenarios. Data collection and control
is necessary for any SCADA process and PLC
do the role of assimilation and classification of
collected data. It can control and monitor the
infrastructure and facility based process of
industries in a good manner.
