Visual Arts
Two students had their Visual Arts major works
pre-selected for inclusion in ArtExpress, an annual exhibition
of outstanding HSC Bodies of Work, which represents
the pinnacle of achievement in Visual Arts at high school
level. Edith Watt submitted a series of photographs and
an emotive short film titled, ‘On memory, where is now
my youth’ (Thomas Hardy) while Amy Solan, submitted
a series of ethereal large scale photographs of elements of the
landscape.

Creativity, Action and Service (CAS)
Amandatory component of the IBDiploma is the requirement
that students engage in arts activities, demonstrating
creativity, participate in sporting opportunities and/or
expeditions, and contribute to meaningful community
and social service activities. This commitment involves
the equivalent of at least three hours each week
throughout the two-year programme. All students in
the IB Class of 2016 embraced and generally significantly
exceededthisrequirement.
