To be considered as the number one choice of your target market is a long and arduous task for any service company. This status can only be achieved through sustained and uncompromising effort. ATSL has achieved this status in the eyes of our customers through a superlative team and is poised for greater achievements.

The comprehensive array of services we offer today has been possible only through focused attention on delivering maximum impact to our customers. Our customers bear the evidence to our effort and we are motivated by the results.

As Telco operators shift gears from network deployment to operational efficiencies and optimization, ATSL has placed on-line, services such as Managed Services and Network Optimization Solutions.

Our Focus has been and will always be on partnering our customers in achieving their maximum potential. To this end we assure you of our continuous re-engineering of our services to meet the market conditions.

I have been fortunate to be able to mould a group of companies which treats service as its number one priority. ATSL, which took roots as a support unit for our Telecom Sector Business has proved itself as a leader in providing services to Telecom Operators. We have even undertaken tasks which the others have shyed away and succeeded in providing customers with results and benefits.

As the Telecom sector of the group grows bigger and stronger, we have taken the necessary steps to strengthen our commitment to service. As you turn the pages of this profile, I am sure you will see that we have utilized every ounce of strength and exposure to grow stronger and more flexible to better serve our customers.

Group Synergies

11

The Access Group, with diverse interests in Engineering and Infrastructure Development, focuses on the Telecommunication Segment through three subsidiary

companies. These companies focus on three separate aspects of the industry and bring focused attention to each specialty.

Striving for Un-scaled Heights

12

In a service organization, people define its strength, capability and effectiveness. The professionalism, skills set, motivation and team spirit of its work force

makes a monumental difference in the results achieved. ATSL strives to achieve results through continuous improvement and will not be found itself resting

on its laurels of achievement.

Core Strengths

13

At ATSL, we take great care in nurturing our team through skills development, training and welfare. Our efforts start on the very first day on the job

and is a continuous exercise throughout the engagement of our team members. The result, is a technically superior and emotionally charged task

force with a single-minded approach to delivering excellence no matter how difficult the task or conditions.

Our approach to development of core strengths is based on the following aspects.

• Our team development programmes involve skills certification, safety training and motivation training amongst others.

• We have established a quality management system through the implementation of ISO 9000 – 2008 standards. At ATSL, ISO is not merely a certification which we have achieved. It is a way of life.

• We are registered with the trade certification programme of Institute for Construction Training and Development (ICTAD) under the classification of EM1, which provides our customers with a reference of our strengths and capabilities and a dedication to maintaining industry standards.

• Our team has undergone extensive training with multiple vendors and has shown their capability in performing as an external arm of the vendor organizations.

• Our process re-engineering is continuous and is executed through commitment from all levels of the organization.

Innovation @ Service

14

We believe that service has to be dynamic, if real value is to be provided. Our customers have benefited from the evolution of services offered by ATSL. We

have been able to offer relevant and optimally designed services to our customers along with a personalization to fit the individual requirements and thereby

maximizing it’s effectiveness.

Service Portfolio

ATSL’s range of services span the areas of Network Development, Operations, Maintenance and Optimization. These services are offered

through focused divisions of the organization as defined below.

• Our Infrastructure Development Division enables us to provide construction and maintenance of Telecommunication Infrastructure. (such as towers, cabins and core infrastructure)

• Our Engineering Division focuses on deploying and maintaining your active network components. (Such as microwave links, BTS and multiplexors)

• Our Managed Services Division provides a unique combination of outsourcing solutions, which enable operators to maximize efficiency.

• Our Specialized services offering is brought to you by synergies derived from all three operating divisions. These services will allow operators to stay ahead of the competition and improve their business dynamics.

15

Going the Extra Mile

16

The best partnerships lighten the load and clear the road ahead. Our ability to take on several of your burdens and manage them as solutions has

created a revolution in the telecommunications industry. The Infrastructure Development Division has been responsible for some of the fastest network

rollouts / expansions in Sri Lanka. These achievements have been possible through innovation and persistent adaptations.

Infrastructure Development

17

The Infrastructure Development Division provides the following services

• Site Acquisition – services from land/site search to central / local authority approvals and legal agreements.

• Power Acquisition – acquiring commercial power supply to network node sites.

• Civil Construction – Tower base construction, cabin, perimeter fencing and other civil work at network node sites.

• Tower Erection and Painting – Erection of self supporting and guyed masts along with application of protective coatings.

• Tower Maintenance – replacement of members, guy wires, removal of protective coating and reapplication of same.

• Tower Strength Analysis – Reverse engineering of tower design to ascertain capacity and load levels.

• Foundation Testing – Ascertaining through measurement and analysis, the built status of foundations.

Beyond Excellence

18

A sound organizational structure, with proven processes and commitment to excellence is required to put the company’s vision to work no matter when

and where the projects take you. The hallmark of our success is the ruthless efficiency with which our project teams implement plans to perfection.

Evolving Services

20

As the Telecommunication Markets mature after explosive growth, sustainability comes to the forefront as a business issue. Substantial number of

operators face this challenge with uncertainty due to traditional approaches, legacy systems and most of all spiraling costs. Operators have viewed

outsourcing as one of the methods to align their business to achieve sustainability.

Managed Services

21

While Managed Services has gained popularity in the recent past, ATSL has been engaged in Managed Services on behalf of equipment vendors for a considerable period of operation. Today, success of a Managed Service is based on the know-how and not on the number of people engaged in the activity. ATSL brings all of the required components to offer independent Managed Services in the arena of Network Field Operations arena. This is the largest part of an operator’s network and in most instances, the most difficult part to maintain and operate at required efficiency levels.

The key benifits of ATSL’s managed service offering can be described as

• Independent managed services for Field Operations.

• Multiple differentiated levels of service to fit site priorities.

• Multi-levels of support with diligent escalation procedures.

• Multi-skilled field force to provide efficient and effective service.

• Supplementary services to complete the scope of operations.

• Detailed analytics to improve performance and proactive optimization.

• Service capability in multiple countries.

Leading the Pack

22

Today, operators face challenges which change at the speed of light. Staying abreast of your competition and maintaining positions of advantage requires

relentless and continuous effort. Therefore benchmarking your service and obtaining independent assessments is a necessity of times. ATSL is equipped

with the required skilled staff and tools to carryout these services which support your market position in an efficient and effective manner.

Specialized Services

23

ATSL offers a magnitude of specialized services to operators and the following are the most sought-after services.

• Asset Recording and Management – As the networks grow in size and complexity, the resources deployed at numerous sites need to be tracked and verified. Further, this service compliments site record updating processes wherein detailed information of the site is recorded and stored where necessary.

• Drive Testing – The coverage offered by an operator is an essential marketing tool. The changes observed due to built environment need to be constantly monitored. The service, while tedious, is essential to stay in competition.

• Benchmarking – This service allows the operator to judge its market position and target activities. Benchmarking can be achieved at multiple levels of measurement and ATSL is geared to provide a comprehensive service.

• Network Optimization – Involves a combination of radio planning, asset management and reconfiguration. This is typically a service with multiple iterations. ATSL’s extensive experience and its partnership with industry specialists allows us to provide a superior level of service.
