Knudsen (1879-1948), then president of General Motors and an advocate for worker health and safety, this annual award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding lifetime contribution to occupational and environmental medicine (OEM). Kammer, MD (1903-1962), an ACOEM past president (1951-1952) and first editor of the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (JOEM).
