Your Task…You are a member of North Island School’s Healthy
Eating Committee. Unhealthy Henry has been eating far too much junk food lately and his parents are worried as he is getting overweight and unable to participate in active sports which Henry loves.
Henry approaches you for help. You will introduce Unhealthy Henry to the balanced diet, food groups and healthy eating tips. You will encourage Henry to design a balanced pizza using his knowledge of food groups.

Each group please use 15 minutes to discuss your suggestions for healthy eating and fill in your answers in the following form.

Some Healthy eating tips• Choose low fat or reduced sugar versions where
possible • Avoid saturated spreads and oils – opt for
vegetable fats and oils instead.• Try to limit consumption of sugary foods and
drinks such as coke, between meals. • Try not to add fat to foods when cooking.• Avoid frying. Grill and bake food instead.• Trim fat from meat products such as beef
and bacon. Select lean versions of meat.• Substitute yogurt, fromage frais or crème
fraiche for full fat cream.
