Our life is full of love and stability, and we hope to share that with your child. We’re a quiet but

humorous couple with a variety of interests that range from

watching movies to camping, game nights, cooking or just

hanging out at home. We respect the important decision you’re making, and are excited at the prospect of working with

you.

We are so excited to start our family through adoption. We believe that children thrive when they are given the unconditional love along

with the security of consistent expectations, and lots of opportunities to explore the world around them, and discover where their abilities and passions lie. If you choose us to have your child join our family, your child will be so very loved by so many people,

both family and friends, who have been with us on this journey.

ABOUT US We met in young adults through our church in 2001. We didn't start dating till 2 years later and we were married in 2004. We knew right away that we wanted children and wasted no time trying to start a family, but medical complications prevented it from happening biologically. We knew there are so many children that are looking for a forever home so we turned to adoption. We have a very strong, solid

relationship. We are very compatible, and share a similar sense of humour, similar religious and political views, etc. We are both laid-back. We have chemistry and physical attraction too. We both work at our relationship, to ensure we communicate properly, keep the spark alive, etc. RELIGION Our Christian faith is a large part of our lives. Through some of the difficult times of life our faith has been our rock. We regularly attend church and are actively involved by Adam running the light board and Tanya singing on stage as part of the worship team.

ABOUT TANYA I have been described by my friends as caring, creative, and hardworking. I grew up in Southeastern Ontario and haven’t strayed too far from my hometown. I believe in having roots and staying close to the ones I love. I have my certificate in Hotel / Restaurant Management but did not pursue a career in this field. Currently, I am working for an

insurance company in a clerical position.  

ABOUT ADAM I have been described as a really fun, laid back guy who loves to make other people smile. I also grew up in Southeastern Ontario and still live within an hour of my hometown. I completed my college career in Welding and Fabrication and I have a heart for this career path but unfortunately I can’t do it as much due to allergies. I scrap metal, as well as I work ¾ of the year at a local RV dealership cleaning campers.          

FAMILY We currently have 12 nieces and nephews ranging from 3-21 years old. Our family is very close. Both of our families wholeheartedly support our decision to grow our family through adoption. They would be so happy to welcome your child into their lives. Your child would grow up surrounded by a mom and dad, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a whole bunch of cousins - all who would love him/her to pieces! We frequently get together for birthday, holidays, BBQs, camping, games nights, or just to hang out.      

           

  

       

PETS This is Heidi and Kitty. Heidi is our 9 year old pug. She loves to play and she really LOVES people, especially kids. She is our little cuddle bug. Kitty (yes our dog’s name is Kitty) is our 2.5 year old Lab/Boxer/Beagle. She loves to run. She can be protective if she believes someone is hurt. She thinks she is a lap dog and is great with kids.  

OUR HOME

We live in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bungalow home nestled on just under 1 acre of land, providing lots of room for your child to run and play as he/she grows. We live in a rural suburb community.     

CHOOSING ADOPTION: We have both felt that adoption is the right choice for us. Adoption runs in our family with Tanya’s eldest sister being adopted, as well as many extended family members were adopted. Adam’s father was also adopted by his stepfather. Having that experience has better equipped

us to having an adopted child. Our goal is to give your child an unconditional loving home dedicated to supporting him or her in whatever path they choose in life. CHILDCARE PLANS: Our plans for childcare is for Tanya to stay home for as long as possible. Once she returns to work, our plan is to find a daycare close to her work. Family is always on call as well. Adam will be the primary provider for the home but will be equally involved in caring for the child. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU: We believe that all children have the right to know their roots. We are comfortable with meeting up with you a couple times a month. Regular texts and emails are welcome, but if during the night we probably won’t response until the next day. We are open to creating a dedicated facebook profile that just the 3 of us can stay in touch. We are ok with occasional phone calls, but neither one of us like talking of the phone too much. We would like to work with you to put together a plan that we are all most comfortable with in terms of our relationship.

CLOSING THOUGHTS:

There is nothing in the world that we want more than to be parents – to be able to love and care for a child would be an incredible gift. Our personal struggles with infertility has only strengthened our commitment to be great parents. If we are fortunate enough to have a child come into our lives through adoption, there will never

be a day that goes by that we won’t feel grateful for the miracle of that child and the incredible person who brought that child into our lives.
