With over half of the world’s people living in cities
Global population in cities will reach 60% by 2030 and 70% by 2050.
1 billion people of global population reside in sub-standard housing and informal settlements that lack adequate shelter and basic services
Slum is a classic problem that has long been grown in large cities
One of the slum area example in jakarta is Kampung melayu
area of Kampung Melayu that located in the banks of Ciliwung river is a government-owned land
kampung melayu have a frequent flood every year in jakarta

The settlement is directly to the river bank

GOVERNMENT HAS A PROGRAM TO RELOCATE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO THE STATE HOUSING
SOLVING ONE PROBLEM BUT CREATING ANOTHER PROBLEM
The social impact is change in the living conditions of the community itself.
Distruption of the structure and system of society Loss of productive resources, income and livelihood The culture of mutual cooperation that already exist in the community
can be decreased Loss of income can be a source of life and encourage the exploitation of
ecosystems, hardship, social tensions and poverty. The local organizations and formal and informal associations disappear
because of changes in their members, Communities and traditional authorities can lose their leader.

The Concept :
How we provide a settlement for the people who stay in the banks of Ciliwung river especially in Kampung Melayu without relocated or ask them to move too far away from their house.
Relocate the community just close to the current site, built the new settlement above existing road and replace the road in the previous settlement.
