PART A: NOTICE TO PROPOSERS:

1. Receipt of this Addendum shall be acknowledged on the Proposal Form. Failure to do so may subject Proposers to disqualification. Each proposer shall make necessary adjustments and submit his proposal with full knowledge of all modifications, clarification and supplemental data included therein.

2. This Addendum forms part of the Contract Documents and shall be incorporated integrally therewith. Where provisions of the following supplemental data differ from those of previously issued documents, this Addendum shall govern.

3. The following Contract Documents have been issued to date delineating the Work (Project).

4. This Addendum consists of pages ADD01-1 through ADD01-3, Pre Bid Meeting Sign In Sheet,

reissued Section 00430 of the specifications (4 pages) and reissued full size sheet E1.0R.

6. Section 00430 Proposal Form

a. This section has been reissued. Carver HS and Eckert IS shall be bid separately. Separate lump sum bid proposal sheets have been included for each school.

7. Section 16760 PA/Intercom System

a. 1.1 APPROVED MANUFACTURERS, A.: Rauland is an approved manufacturer.

b. 1.5 SCOPE, A.: PA system shall be capable of calling classrooms either over the

speakers or through the handset separately. Existing PA headend equipment shall

be salvage to owner.

c. 1.5 SCOPE, Add B.: At Carver High School the new system shall provide 2-way,

100% fully integrated communication between the adjacent Staff Development

Center and Carver High School. The new sound system shall be expandable for

both the Staff Development Center and Carver High School to accommodate future

classrooms and other spaces. Provide fiber optic integration cable and integrated

modules/modems between the Staff Development Center Dukane central sound

system and the new Carver High School central sound system. Fiber cabling and

other cabling connecting the two systems together, and to the telephone system

shall be provided and installed by the sound system contractor. Contractors

proposing Rauland equipment may replace the Dukane system in the Staff

Development Center with a Rauland system as a part of their proposal.

Contractors shall field verify the existing conditions during the bidding period to

ensure their proposed system will fully comply with these requirements.

d. 3.1 MATERIALS, B.: All jacks installed in sheetrock must be securely mounted to

the sheetrock or stud.

e. 3.2 INSTALLATION, C.: All circuits shall be homerun to new PA headend.

f. 3.3 CONDUIT/CABLE, 1.: Conduit and boxes below ceiling shall be steel wiremold type to

match existing and all new wiremold and surface mounted box locations must be

coordinated with owner prior to installation. Reuse existing wiremold and boxes

where approved by owner.

PART D: CHANGES TO THE DRAWINGS

8. E1.0R Intercommunications and Program Systems Replacement at Carver Senior High School

a. Drawing Sheet E1.0R reissued, reference clouded items for changes.

9. E2.0 Intercommunication & Program Systems Replacement at Eckert Intermediate School

a. Existing PA headend is located in the library storage room. The PA system shares a rack with the existing TV distribution system. Contractor shall remove existing PA equipment and provide as salvage to owner. Provide new rack mounted equipment with new rack installed in same storage room on the wall opposite the door. Existing TV equipment shall remain in existing rack and contractor shall protect during construction.

b. Provide new desk mounted CD player and AM/FM radio in wood box at front desk. Coordinate location with owner.

c. Provide desk mounted phones for all offices open to the main courtyard (5 total) and all main administration area offices (5 total).

d. All offices along the exterior of the building shall have wall mounted phones at existing drop locations instead of desk mounted as currently shown.

e. The cafeteria has two existing wall mounted box speakers for the local sound system that shall remain. The nine ceiling mounted speakers shown as existing on sheet E2.0 are PA only and shall be replaced with new in same location. Interconnect local cafeteria sound system with new PA to mute during PA use.

f. Volume control switch in the Choir room shall be mounted on the column in the center of the plan North wall.

g. Volume control switch in the Band room shall be mounted on the column in the center of the plan South wall.

h. All exterior wall mounted speakers are shown in existing locations. Remove existing speaker and provide new at same location.

i. General Intercom Sound System Notes revised:

1. Reuse existing PA drop locations for new handsets. If existing location conflicts with other equipment relocate to meet ADA/owner requirements. Provide new wall mounted handsets or call buttons as indicated.

2. No 25 pair cables allowed. Provide two (2) shielded pair cables from each classroom homerun to PA central equipment.

includes an index listing the included specifications and drawings, which includes an index

listing the included drawings.

We have carefully reviewed and understand the Notice to Bidders, and Instructions to

Bidders, the drawings and specifications, examined the site(s) in detail, and have acquainted
