Adding a Quiz in Panopto

In Panopto, we can add quizzes to our videos at certain timestamps. These have 3 different question types and multiple questions can be added to one spot.

Creating a quiz

Step 1: Access your video and choose the edit button in the upper right hand corner that looks like a pencil.

Step 2: Navigate to the spot in the video where you’d like to add a quiz in the timeline.

Step 3: Once in Edit mode, click on Quizzes on the left-hand navigation bar and “Add a Quiz”

Step 3: From here, you can choose from three different quiz types: True/False, Multiple Choice, or Multiple Select:

Step 4: Type your question and possible answers. Highlight the correct answer. You can add more than 2 answers by clicking “Add Answer”. You can also add questions by clicking “Add Question”

Step 5: When finished, Click “Done”, this will bring you to the settings page. Here you can check off particular settings to your preference.

Step 6: Repeat steps 2-5 to add other quizzes at other timestamps in the video.

Step 7: When completely finished, hit “Publish” on the upper right hand corner of the video to save. Hit “Revert” to undo any changes you have made.
