REPAIRING IS SUSTAINABLE!SAVE YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS!
A hole in your dress, a seam has come undone, a pocket has torn? We throw away and replace garments needing repair far too often.
We really love some of these garments and think of them as our favourites. They are unique, associated with memories or simply fantastically comfortable. If something happens to these favourites, if they become worn or if they are torn or damaged, it is often difficult to part with them.
But it must not come to that! Because it is much easier than you think to care for and repair our favourite things and sometimes all that is needed is a little skill with a needle.
Under the motto, Repair & Care Prym has collected together a few cunning aids (selected Prym products) and the repair instructions and tips to go with them.
In this booklet we show you how you can rescue your favourites simply and perma- nently without needle and thread.
On her Tweed & Greet DIY fashion and lifestyle blog blogger and needlework book author, Selmin Ermis-Krohs regularly presents exciting DIY projects with tips and ruses for sewing your own wardrobe. She is also the second person behind the recently-launched Schnittduett dressmaking pattern label. Creating favourite things from fabric is her great passion.
On the following pages she shows you how to repair minor damage to your favourites in the wardrobe without sewing.
SELMIN SHOWS YOU HOW!

Who does not recognise the scene? You discover an ugly hole in your favourite dress that cannot be sewed together invisibly and you cannot find any suitable iron-on patch.
The textile repair powder from Prym lets you effortlessly repair minor damage to textiles. The powder makes it extremely easy to bind fabrics together cleanly with an iron, leaving no ugly seams.
The best thing to do is to cut a piece of fabric of the right size from a part of the dress, which is not visible – from the hem of your dress, for example – and make a virtually invisible patch for yourself.

Our favourites go everywhere with us. Seams, fabric edges and buttonholes are places which experience a great deal of wear and which are often very difficult or impossible to neaten with the sewing machine.
Fray Check from Prym is perfect for sealing raw fabric edges. The colourless liquid binds and reinforces woven surfaces and stops fraying.
The practical dosing bottle with the pipette-type opening makes it easy to apply the adhesive precisely. After multiple washes the adhesive effect can subside slightly. This treatment can be repeated as often as desired.
Bring new life to your favourite things!

Leather is well known to be a particularly robust material. However when the fastening on your favourite bag tears off, repairing it then becomes particularly challenging. You need to use an adhesive and the place where you applied the adhesive has to remain flexible and the adhesive must not penetrate the leather.
The leather adhesive from Prym is particularly suitable for sticking smooth and suede leather, but it can also be used to glue rubber, wood, paper, and metal. Basic preparation of the surfaces and the pressing force are crucial for the stability of the bonding surface when using this adhesive.
You run no risk with this leather expert!
