Ergonomics, designed for people to use

For your patient...Height adjustment: always at a height that is safe and easy to

get onto, taking their physical condition into account.

• Unique Gymna opening for the face: leaves the eyes and mouth

free, but still provides enough support without any painful pres-

• The Gymna "peripheral switch system": the solution for adjusting

the height from any position around the couch. Neatly concealed

beneath the construction – plenty of legroom and improved safety.

• Central system to lift the wheels: one movement of the foot, and

the treatment couch is on its wheels. Can be reached from either

side of the couch.

• Intuitive operation: levers just where you expect them to be, always

within reach and easy to use.

• Softtex handgrips: pleasantly soft yet tough handgrips on the levers.

• Leg and sitting room: the narrow undercarriage provides optimum

legroom, even when using a stool.

• Non-slip undercarriage: the couch won’t shift during manipulations,

GSP Gymna Stability Profile

The unique Gymna Stability Profile (or GSP) has now built up a strong reputation. Others have tried to match this level of stability, but have not succeeded.

A treatment couch with GSP guarantees high dynamic stability, which makes it a safe and efficient investment.

The dynamic stability determines how well a treatment couch

responds to changing loads, e.g. when the patient is getting on

or off, when exercises are being carried out or as a result of the

forces used in manipulation.

Two factors are important here:

the way the couch moves as a reaction to the dynamic

forces.

the response time required by the couch to correct this

displacement.

The smaller the motion and the shorter the response time, the

better the dynamic stability.

Gymna treatment couches cut springiness down to a minimum

and this dynamic behaviour is defined in the Gymna Stability

Profile.

GSP means that your energy goes into the treatment and not

into the mechanics.

With GSP, you can give your full attention to fixation of the

patient and localisation of your treatment, while the patient

feels comfortable and can trust the therapy you have selected.

The amount of movement in response to a dynamic load has been measured for two

comparable treatment couches.

The two curves show a very different stability profile. The Gymna treatment couch

shows far less displacement. It also responds more rapidly to the forces exerted and

therefore needs less time for correction.
