Do you Love to make a joyful noise unto the Lord?

Well, the adult choir season is beginning and we want you to join us! (no experience necessary) We’ll kick off the season with our annual choir retreat at noon on September 1st in the home of Julie Ann Walker. YOUR GENEROSITY CONTINUES TO “OVERFLOW” Thanks for the many gifts filling and refilling the bin located in the Narthex. Keep them coming please as there is urgent need for T-SHIRTS, JEANS, SHORTS, SOCKS, UN-

DERWEAR and SHOES for the homeless ministry at Grace Lutheran Church in down-

town Phoenix.

THE CARING COMMITTEE NEEDS YOU!!!! As Christians we are called upon to love one another. We need caring volunteers to show their love by ministering to our friends and members of Living Water in the following ways: Commit to adding the names of those on the Sunday prayer list to your daily prayers. Be willing to spend about 15 minutes a month writing a note of encouragement to a

few people on the prayer list to let them know we care and are praying for them. You would be assigned about three alphabet letters. You would write to people whose name are within your assigned letters.

Please consider volunteering and add your name to the signup sheet in the Narthex. Thank you.

Feed My Starving Children has received an ur-gent request for 3.2 million additional meals for the children of Haiti, the Philippines, Nicaragua and four other countries. Can you help? Your

gift given to FMSC can feed hungry children. Give through Living Water and note Feed My Starving Children on your donation!

BOOK DRIVE FOR CHILDREN September is the time when projects serving children in financially-challenged families have a tremendous need for new or used children's books. While Assistance League of Phoenix provides new uniforms, shoes and hygiene items to 290 K-8 students in Title I schools weekly, in a per-fect world each child will also go away with a book choice of their own. Their eyes shine brightly when they understand their name will be written inside and they can share this book at home. Please look on your

shelves, in your closets, and maybe under your bed to see how many old book treasures you are willing to share with another child. A cart is set up in the Narthex to receive your donations. E-mail Sue Brash with any questions. [email protected].
