� Our industry keeps growing driven by EU and mostly foreign markets

� However the development of Advanced Materials remains a long, risky and capital-intensive process

� Umicore supports EMIRI’s advocacy on innovation in fie ld of Advanced Materials for clean energy & clean mobility (the Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative is an industry-driven grouping of about 60 organizations contributing to shaping EU innovation policies impacting Advanced Materials for clean energy & clean mobility technologies)

� Any appropriate risk-sharing policies & instruments at EU level are more than welcome
