Tours depart from and return to the Market Table at theTroy Farmer’s Market at 10:30 am. Each week brings a differenttheme for the tours, which are led by RCHS staff and frequentlyincorporate historic photographs and readings from letters anddiaries. Walk with usand learn about what was called the “second most destructivedraft riot in the nation.”The Rensselaer County Historical Society and Museum is adynamic not-for-profit educational organization established in1927 to connect local history and heritage with contemporarylife. SACRED HEART’S FAMILY FUN DAY

The Sacred Heart School community moved its annual FamilyFun Day off campus to the Grafton State Park and everyoneenjoyed the change of venue and activities. Staff and studentsdressed in their red and white gym T-shirts could be seenparticipating in teacher-directed sand castle building, relayraces, obstacle courses, dancing and a nature walk throughoutthe morning. Parents were then able to continue the rest ofthe afternoon as they would as a family, doing what theynormally would while at the park.
