MIRAGE MILKING UNIT

The system software provide a complete solution for MIRAGE-2000 FDR Milkout

and Analysis System (FMAS) of French Mirage-2000 series of fighter aircrafts.

This equipment is devoted to Indian Air Force for acquiring data from FDR of

Mirage-2000 aircraft and storing it for further analysis. This helps in knowing

different flight parameters to monitor the health of the aircraft in between sorties

at any given point of time and a detailed analysis can be carried out at a later

stage. This Equipment provides flight information during flight, storage of recorded

information in case of a flight accident and enables post flight processing of flight

information on the ground.

This system is primarily using for Data Acquisition, GO/NOGO Analysis (Quick

Analysis), Standard Calibration Analysis and User’s specified specific Analysis like

Flight Profile, Combat Sortie, Statistical Analysis. It also provides Graphical Plot

and Tabular Printout of data.

This equipment provides storage of recorded information and enables post flight processing of flight information on ground in order to be further used for

• Evaluation of piloting techniques • Assessment of Aircraft system operational status. • Study of flight data and equipment parameters for estimation of aircraft

reliability & development of safety methods. • Investigation of flight accidents / incidents

The prototype of the system has already been approved by IAF and 11 for

production version.

FLIGHT DATA ANALYSIS & ACQUISITION SYSTEM

With the disintegration of USSR into a number of region (Russia and Uzbekistan

etc) few years back the supplies of spares and test equipments to the IAF for their

Russian fleet (which is a large portion of their operational fleet) dwindled. It made

IAF to look for Indigenisation of Russian made spares and test equipment. One of

the requirements was to indigenize the milking device for Flight Data Recorder of

Russian series of aircrafts like MIG-21, MIG -27, MIG-29, AN-32 and IL-76

aircrafts. Along with indigenization, many new features like Quick Analysis,

Detailed Analysis of Milked Data and Combat Sortie Simulation were added to

improve upon the existing product.

In 1999-2000 AEM took up the development of FDAAS for MIG-27 and MIG-29

aircrafts. In 2000-2001 it took up the development or FDAAS for AN-32 aircraft.

The present products are outcome of this development. We will now be

customizing it for IL-76 aircraft.

DIGITAL AXLE COUNTER

Indian Railways is presently using analog type axle counter for signaling

applications. With the increase in rail traffic with time, it requires more precision

equipment for signaling purpose to avoid a mishap. With the revolution in

Electronic and Information Technology industry, Micro Controller / Microprocessor

Based Digital Axle Counter become a necessity in present scenario. Therefore,

Indian Railways have decided to change the present Analog Axle Counter with

Digital Axle Counter. These Digital Axle Counter are used as a track section

monitoring system. The unit is used to monitor track sections, platforms, yard

area, point zones, block section between two stations for presence or absence of

trains.

AEM has signed an MOU with Central Electronics Limited (CEL) for development

and supply of Digital Axle Counter and Central Evaluator, all the sensors along the

tracks are provided by CEL. AEM system the signals from CEL sensors, will

interface these signals to AEM Digital Axle Counters for processing.

Digital Axle Counter is trackside equipment, and counts the number of axle passes

through counters. Digital Axle Counter share the information with the next Axle

Counter, as soon as the count matches between two Axle Counters, the

corresponding track section become vacant. AEM has already developed Digital

Axle Counter, and is now under trial run.

CIRCULAR WEAVING MACHINE CONTROLLER

Lohia Machinery Manufactures an Indian company manufacturing Textile and

associated machinery having turnover of 200Cr. ($50M). In 2001-2002, Lohia

projected the requirement for Loom Controller for Circular Weaver manufactured

by them.

The Circular Weaver is used for weaving packaging fabric for bags used for packing

cement, fertilizer, agricultural and food products etc. the circular weaver consist of

three motors namely loom motor, Haul-off motor and winder motor.

The loom motor weaver weft into wrap. The haul-off motor decides the take-up

speed of the woven fabric. The haul-off motor must run at a proportional speed of

the loom motor at all times, i.e. during acceleration, de-acceleration and run

phase. The speed of the haul-off motor also decides the weft density. The winder

motor winds the produced fabric.

CONTROLLER FOR DRAW TEXTURISING MACHINES

Lohia Machinery Manufactures an Indian firm having turnover of 2000Cr. ($500M),

in collaboration with Starlinger of France is manufacturing the Draw Texturising

Machine for Textile Industry. In 1998, Lohia projected the need for Indigenisation

and upgradation of the main controller, controlling the heat processes, motor

speed and other critical inputs and outputs of the machine. Accordingly, we took

up the development of System Controller, its associated hardware and complete

software for Draw Texturising Machine. This was completed in mid 1999 and since

then we have supplied approx 20 systems, which are working satisfactorily round

the clock at various installations all over the country. Presently we are also

developing another system controller for their Loom Weaving Machine.

AUTOMATED PRODUCTION MONITORING SYSTEM

The Automated Production Monitoring System (APMS) provides for the monitoring

of various assembly lines of a shop floor in an automated manner. The APMS logs

the production of each assembly line on a real time basis. The line down time

alongwith the specific reasons is also logged. Various other parameters as

rejection, rework and manpower etc. are also logged.

The APMS consists of following equipments

Machine Networking Unit

Data Logger

Main Features

Eliminated human error in noting down production data.

On-Line real time production update.

Eliminates physical work of noting data.

Automated counting of items produced

Rejection happening on the line is captured.

Down time event with specific reason is captured.

Data before sending to the ERP is validated.

Provision to capture Man-Power is also provided.

Configuration data as Line name, machine code and item code can be picked

from ERP data-base.

Whenever the line goes down, the operator can punch the specific reason into

the MNU. The MNU is already loaded with the data configuration of each Line

terms of the number of machines, Machine Code, Down Time reasons specific

to each machine etc. Thus the operator has to choose from a number of listed

reasons and the fault is logged automatically.

The MNU is designed around a powerful micro-processor having program

memory and non-volatile data memory.

The MNU has a Graphics LCD of 240 x 128 pixels. A 24-Key Keypad is provided

for user interface.

The MNU operates on 230 VAC. The PWR is fed on the back side using a 3 pin

Terminal block.

The data logger operates on 230 VAC.

The data logger also supports a LAN I / F for connection to ERP networks.
