Perfection is very exacting of the many companies that have recently entered the LED street light-ing market, most just don’t have the experience and capability necessary to build attractive, long-lasting, quality luminaires. Their products are destined to become obsolete and disposed of within just a few years.

versatile, multifunctional and easy to replaceThe versatile LEvo module satisfies the requirements of different roadway lighting classes and integrates into most pole top, pole bracket and column luminaires.

The LEDs are on a replaceable pcb. a large-area optical component configured with a complex array of prisms concentrates the light and facilitates the rapid, uniform dissipation of heat produced by the LEDs, prolonging the LEDs’ lifetime.

Quick replacement

The high-tech retrofit modulemoDuL360 is capable of full 360-degree illumination, but may be configured for just 270-degree illumination.

Two heat sinks dissipate the heat generated by the aluminium pcb via their finned construction. This module also has a reflector that illuminates the target area with homogeneous glare-free light.

The LED retrofit for traditional and lantern-type luminairesin older city sections or historic districts, modern LED engines would be out of place. Hess designed a LED product resembling an incandescent bulb specifically with such applications in mind. in contrast to incandescent lamps, which are thermal light sources, LEDs emit monochromatic light in a limited range. unlike conventional light sources, a large proportion of their energy is not lost due to colour filtration, making them more efficient.

What is light?Light is electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye. The entire frequency range stretches from low energy waves such as radio waves, to high-energy x and gamma rays. The spectrum of visible light is relatively small and lies between 370 nm (violet) and 750 nm (red).

Colour rendering Index (CrI)The colour rendering index is a measure of the degree of colour shift that objects undergo when illuminated by a lamp, compared with their colour when illuminated by a reference source of comparable correlated colour temperature (ccT). The higher the cri value, the more accurate is the reproduction of all colours and therefore the object.

about Colour renderingThe colour of the light that reflects from an object is relative to the colour of the light illuminating it. The object can only appear in the colours or blends of colours that are present in the light that illuminates it.

Luminous EfficacyLuminous efficacy is the most commonly used measure of the efficiency with which a light source provides visible light from electricity. it is the ratio of luminous flux to power and appears as lumens per watt (lm/W).

Thermal Managementin particular, the operating and ambient temperatures are of critical importance: the colder, the better. High temperatures decrease luminous flux and shorten the light source’s lifetime. For this reason, it is impos-sible to have an efficient LED system without an effective and reliably functioning thermal management system. The heat is not generated by the heating of an element that glows, but rather via the flow of current in the semiconductor.
