Alliance Actualités
New Website Offers Fresh Look, Online RegistrationThe Alliance Française de Sacramento recently launched a brand-new website with a fresh, clean look and a
new domain name: afsacramento.org. (Note that the "de" is gone.) To go along with the updated website, we are also now offering online registration and payment. Another step into the future for French in Sacramento!
What does this mean for you? You can view the list of French courses via our website and pay securely online with your credit card. You can also renew your membership, buy textbooks, register for events, and even purchase our stylish Alliance T-shirts.
The online registration system is provided by Arc-en-Ciel, a company that designs software specifically for branches of the Alliance Française and other cultural and educational centers throughout the world. Other AF chapters in California that are using Arc-en-Ciel are Berkeley, Pasadena, and Silicon Valley. In addition to online registration, the new software offers tools for
reporting and scheduling to streamline administrative tasks. Traditional printed course schedules and enrollment forms, as well as membership forms, will continue to be

Dance to Louisiana Rhythms at Fête de la FrancophonieTo celebrate La Journée de la Francophonie, the Alliance Française is sponsoring a dance party with
Mark St. Mary’s Louisiana Blues & Zydeco Band. Listen to traditional down-home zydeco, blues, R&B and even a lil' country. Dance a two-step, waltz, line dance, or however the music moves you – or just listen and watch! Learn a few steps with the famous dance teacher “Zydeco Ted.” Mark St. Mary and his band really know how to entertain, keeping the shirttails floppin’ and the cowboy boots stompin’. The group was voted Best Zydeco Band in 2007 by the Bay Area Blues Society. There will be a no-host wine and beer bar, and the Alliance will provide light desserts. So, laissez les bons temps rouler!
