Visitors and members—Welcome to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church! We’re glad you’re here and pray that you experience God’s kindness with us in worship.

Door Code Change Please be advised that effective October 15, the lock combination to the church doors will be changed. This is a standard security and safety procedure we are implementing. Anyone requiring access to the church during non-business hours should provide your name to the office for our building security list. Prior to October 15, you will be notified of the new

Are You a Veteran? Information Needed

Are you a veteran? Please be part of our Veterans Weekend celebration, November 10 and 11, honoring all who have served . Bring in a picture of yourself in the service. The photo will be scanned and returned to you. Also, please include a brief job description and where you were stationed (ex: Platoon Sergeant Cav. Viet Nam). Contact the church office or Pat Headrick with any questions. You can also email photos to [email protected].

Feed Northeast 2018 This year, we will be participating in Thrivent’s Feed Northeast 2018, an initiative to help those in our community who have limited or uncertain availability of food for themselves and their families. From October 1—October 31, our goal is to gather at least 500 items to benefit the Extended Hands Ministry food pantry. If we reach the goal, Thrivent will give a $500 donation to Extended Hands. If you have any questions, please contact Joy Lynch at (609) 261-1389. Thank you for helping us fight hunger in our community!

Special Congregational Meeting

Sunday, October 14, 2018—12:15 pm

The Council has called a special congregational meeting to vote on Council and Property Team’s recommendation to demolish the mission house

and to hear the first reading of proposed changes to our Constitution and Bylaws.

Several copies of the proposed changes are available for viewing in the office. You can also request an electronic copy.

A quorum of 67 active confirmed members is required to hold the meeting. We hope to see you there.

On Sunday, October 28, the Transition Team will be hosting an old-

fashioned potluck dinner after the 11:00 am service. Come meet the team

and learn how you can help St. Paul’s prepare for a permanent pastor.

This is a family event, and we are planning fun for everyone!!

After the dinner, we will also be doing a “Mortgage Burning” to celebrate

St. Paul’s being mortgage free! As if that’s not enough, we will also be

dedicating the Heritage Room before it officially opens for business!

Look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex!

Students in Grades 6 -9 will be attending Among the Wolves, a middle school

retreat, November 16 -18 at the Fairview Lake YMCA Camp in Stillwater, NJ.

The following is a list of items the group is encouraged to bring as a thanks

offering to help others. The items are going to Safe Haven, a Lutheran ministry

helping unaccompanied migrant children and teens. If you can help the youth by

bringing in something from the list, it would be GREATLY appreciated. There is

a box in the narthex by the youth bulletin board for the collection.

We are collecting for children ages 3—17:

Hats, gloves and scarves

Journals

Stickers

Art supplies

Hair gel

Soccer balls

Basketballs
