Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His work-manship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared be-forehand that we should walk in them.

Workmanship (poema): “An original. One of a kind masterpiece created by a master artist

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Agape: when a person looks at another person and sees so much BEAU-TY and VALUE that they become COMPELLED to love them.

I. The most devastating consequence of sin to mankind is lost identity

Luke 15:17-24 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Fa-ther, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer wor-thy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’ 20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no lon-ger worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the fa-ther said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they be-gan to be merry.

Numbers 13:30-33 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take posses-sion, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stron-ger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that de-vours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descen-dants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Sin turns SONS into SLAVES

John 14:18 I will not leave you or-phans; I will come to you.

Ephesians 1:3-7 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spir-itual blessing in the heav-enly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him be-fore the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 hav-ing predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, accord-ing to the good pleasure

of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us ac-cepted in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the for-giveness of sins, accord-ing to the riches of His grace

II. It’s time for you to stop hating yourself

Romans 8:1-2 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk accord-ing to the flesh, but ac-cording to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Isaiah 61:7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of con-fusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall pos-sess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

II Samuel 9:1-8 1 Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kind-ness for Jonathan’s sake?” 2 And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. So when they had called him to Da-vid, the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “At your service!” 3 Then the king said, “Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness

of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.” 4 So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo De-bar.” 5 Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar. 6 Now when Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, had come to David, he fell on his face and prostrated himself. Then David said, “Mephibosheth?” And he answered, “Here is your servant!” 7 So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kind-ness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will re-store to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” 8 Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your ser-vant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

A. Do not fear

I John 4:16-19 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love

casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

B. I will show you KINDNESS

Romans 8:31-39 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall sep-arate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor prin-cipalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other cre-ated thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

C. I will RESTORE all

Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarm-ing locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The con-suming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

D. You shall eat bread at My table

Your life will always attract and accept the quality of love your heart believes you are worthy of

God doesn’t love some people more than others, but some people do experience a greater measure and quality of God’s love.

Comparison is a form of self-sabotage.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Comparison causes people to feel prideful or depressed, but never fulfilled.

Competition with others makes you become bitter.

Competition with yourself

makes you become better.

No one will ever be as good at being you than you!

The orphan heart is constantly competing with others, the kingly heart is only competing with itself.

You make a bad me and I make a bad you; but you make a great you and I make a great me!

People that don’t know who they are will always try to be someone they are not.

The way you see YOURSELF determines the way you see EVERYTHING ELSE.

We become like and take on the same characteristics of the God we worship.

Shame is a form of self-hatred.
