Based in Sweden, Björn Claeson is Director of Electronics Watch, an independent monitoringorganisation that assists public sector buyers to meet their responsibility to protect the labourrights of workers in their global electronics supply chainsmore effectively and less expensivelythananysinglepublicsectorbuyercouldaccomplishonitsown.Björnhasmorethan15yearsofexperienceonpublicprocurementandlabourrightsinglobalsupplychains.HecofoundedtheUSnational advocacy network SweatFree Communities, and helped set up aUS national network ofpublic sectorbuyers, theSweatfreePurchasingConsortium, to encouragepublic sectorbuyers toaddress labour rights in global supply chains collaboratively.
