How did they get their food? They were farming people. Ottawa hunters and warriors used bows and arrows, clubs and hide shields. They killed deer. Ottawa fisher men used bone fishhooks and sinew lines. They got lots of fish. They made food with birch bark, pots and pans.

What were the jobs of men? The men hunted. Sometimes they went to war to protect their families and made Ottawa and made wooden tools.
