In our Roman Catholic Church, Advent begins the fourth Sunday prior to Christmas Day or the Sunday that falls closest to No-
vember 30th. We returned from Thanksgiving break to find our school transformed for the season of Advent. There are Advent
wreaths, candles, Advent messages and other signs that alert to us special time of year. Advent, much like Lent, draws us toward
a holier way of life in preparation for the celebration of Christmas. We invite you to add the signs and symbols of this holy sea-
son to your own homes and develop rituals to mark it in the daily routines of family life.
December 14th at 6:30 PM is our Christmas concert for children in grades 4-8 at St. Mary Church. That day, we also offer a
“grandparent concert” at 12:30 PM for grandparents that do not want to brave the crowds and/or drive after dark. This daytime
concert features all students in grades K4-8. On that day all students in K4-8th grade are dropped off at the South Campus. The
K4-3rd grade children’s concert is on December 15th at 5:30 at St. Mary Church.
In the coming days, you will receive our first of an Annual Campaign letter. This first one marks our 5th Anniversary as All
Saints Catholic School. My heart is grateful for the many ways this school community has blessed my life. I pray that you, too,
have experienced the blessings of our school community and respond generously. I know this time of year we are often looking
for ways to give back or to increase our donations in anticipation of the year’s end. Please prayerfully consider a donation to All
Saints Catholic School.
We have a new Marketing and Development Committee at All Saints Catholic School who is working vigilantly behind the
scenes exploring new ways to share the good news of ASCS. If you have any ideas you would like to share with us, certainly
reach out and do so. The members of the committee are as follows:
Margie Mandli (Chair)
Shelly Gnolfo
Megan Kuiper
Jen Lebiecki
Matt Tanke
Tricia Falk
Fr. Russ Arnett
Sue Wendorf (Director of Enrollment)
Jackie Lichter (Principal)

Prayer for the Advent Wreath
Lord, our God, we praise You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, for He is Emmanuel, the Hope of all people. He is the Wisdom that teaches and guides us. He is the Savior of us all. O Lord, let your blessing come upon us as we light the first and second (purple) candles of this wreath. May the wreath and its light be a sign of Christ’s promise of salvation. May He come quickly and not delay. We ask this in His holy name. Amen.

Very Important Scrip Information! Please Read!
This week we had 25 families participate in the scrip program, spending $13950.00 on gift cards. They earned a total rebate of $840.70, half of which stays with the school ($420.35) and benefits all children; and the other half is returned to the participating families ($420.35).
Since the beginning of the school year, participating families (averaging around 20) have spent $89,590 on gift cards and earned a rebate of $4505.00 in total. Half of the rebate....$2252.50 is given to the school.
The last week to order scrip before Christmas is December 18th.
If you have a presto pay account, you can order reloads, reload now, and scrip now cards even when we are on break. These are e-gift cards that you can carry on your smart phone or print out.
Everyone should be participating in the scrip program. Order a gas or grocery gift card- easy and you use it anyway. Order your Christmas gift cards through school. Check out our scrip information on the school website. Questions? Email Cassandra Belotti- [email protected].
Have a Blessed Holiday Season!

Parents,
On Wednesday, December 14th, the ASCS students from all campuses will be gathering at the South campus for multiple events—to practice for the evening’s Christmas program, and to perform for the afternoon Gr. 4-8 Christmas Pre-Concert/Dress Rehearsal at 12:30 pm. Because of the full day of activities we are asking that all students be dropped off and picked up at the South campus. If your child is from the North or West campus and typically rides the bus, please also make arrangements to drop him/her off and pick-up at the South campus. If your child normally takes the bus home, there will be bus service for release for both North & South at the South campus at the normal dismissal time.
Drop-off at South campus (7am-7:40am)- Please consider dropping your child off earlier (beginning
at 7am) to avoid long lines.
Teachers and staff will be escorting children into the building and directing traffic in the parking lot beginning at 7am.
You may drop your child off at the South campus entering onto the playground using the Northwest entrance of the parking lot/playground(40th Ave) and exiting at the South end of the parking lot.
It is not advised to park east of 39th Avenue, as there is not a crossing guard on duty and the traffic is heavy at this time.
Cardinal Care will be available from 6am-7am in the cafeteria at no cost if your child will be arriving before 7am.
If you are a South campus parent…
Drop off your child as you would on a rain day. The students should go directly into the building to their classrooms, instead of the cafeteria, when arriving anytime after 7am.
If you are a North or West campus parent...
If your child is in 4K or Kindergarten he/she should go to the cafeteria where their teachers will be waiting.
Students from North or West campus in grades 1-8 should meet in the rooms listed below.
(There will be staff/teachers helping the children find their designated room.)
1st grade-Mrs. Lallensack/ ½ of Smither—Rm 203
1st grade-Mrs. Bayer/ ½ of Smither w/ Aide—Rm 201

Pick up at South campus (2:45 pm-North & West campus/ 3:10 pm-South campus)
If you are a North or West campus parent...
North and West campus students will be dismissed for the day at 2:45 pm. North and West campus parents should park in the parking lot facing either East or West. Teachers will escort the children out of the building and make sure that they get to their vehicles. If your child attends Cardinal Care he/she will go to the South campus cafeteria at 2:45 pm. If your child rides the bus from North campus, he/she will board the bus at the regular time at the South campus.
If you are a South campus parent…
South campus students will be dismissed for the day at 3:10 pm. Please arrive no earlier than 3:00 pm as the North/West campus families will be exiting the lot at the earlier time. If your child rides the bus from South campus, he/she will board the bus at the regular time.
If you have any conflicts with pick-up or drop-off for December 14th, please contact your campus office so that arrange-ments can be made.
