Program Objective: Integrate life insurance into a comprehensive home protection discussion. By offering Home + Life, you show customers you are looking out for their overall protection needs as their trusted advisor.

Customer Target: Young and Established Households that are 50 years-old and under, with a mortgage of $990,000 or less.

1. Recommend life insurance when quoting. A customized Allstate TrueFit® life insurance quote based on the customer’s mortgage amount and duration offers you

the opportunity to position life insurance while gathering information through the Alliance coverage tab.

Four opportunities to create awareness during the homeowner’s sales process

2. Discuss the life quote in the Personalized Proposal. The same life insurance quote provided through Alliance will be available to customers in the Personalized Proposal, providing

a great opportunity to follow up when the proposal is delivered.

3. Stay in touch when the policy is delivered. The Homeowners Welcome Letter reiterates the importance of life insurance by encouraging

customers to “protect what makes their house a home” and gives you another opportunity to ensure they see the quote.

4. Follow up with eAgent. With eAgent, your agency can setup a “To-Do” reminder and automatically send a follow up email to new homeowners

customers using the pre-approved eAgent system template. Once the email is sent, follow up with a phone call to reinforce the value of life insurance.

Suggested Language:

Life-Licensed Producers: “The next thing you’ll see in your Personal Proposal is a quote for TrueFit life insurance. One of our priorities is making sure you have enough life insurance to keep your family in your home, no matter what happens. Do you have a few minutes to discuss? I can review the quote and coverage with you and answer any questions you may have.”

Non-Life Licensed Producers: “The next thing you’ll see in your Personal Proposal is a quote for TrueFit life insurance. One of our priorities is making sure you have enough life insurance to keep your family in your home, no matter what happens. Our financial professional, (EFS or licensed rep name), would be happy to meet with you to discuss and answer any questions you may have. I’d like to get you on his/her schedule as soon as possible so that we can help make sure you are protected.”

Suggested Language: “Our agency prides itself on seeing if there are any gaps in coverage. One that comes up quite frequently is life insurance. Life insurance could help your family stay in your home in the event of your untimely death by being used to cover the cost of the mortgage.”

Suggested Language: “Congratulations! Your Homeowners policy issued! I’d like to take a minute to walk through the policy to make sure everything looks good and also talk about adding life insurance protection to your coverage. We want to make sure your home is protected for your family and that’s why adding life insurance is such an important part of the home buying process.”

Suggested Language: “I’m calling to thank you for your business. We hope your experience with the agency has been excellent. We wanted to follow-up one last time to address the gap we see in many of our customer’s life insurance coverage. Life insurance can help make a huge difference in your family’s life and keep them in your home should the unthinkable happen.”
