I hope your children love these readers! They are designed to build confidence as they can be ‘read’ easily with the prompting of the graphics. Because of this, it’s good to encourage children to point to each word as they read to keep their eyes focused on the words and individual letters. The fun factor of having tiny books with so many pages is motivating and as they turn the pages kids can experience ‘reading’ a book all the way through by themselves.
Instructions
1. Print and construct a book following the instructions on the next page2. Children write their name and color in the title3. Read through the book4. Trace over the dotted letters in the book5. Read through the book again6. Color in the pictures7. For extension: children use a highlighter to search for other specific letters in the text
If you would like the entire alphabet it can be purchased here.
I wish you happy teaching and learning!
