SOCIAL RECRUITING.Social Media+ Recruitment tools+ Technology.

What is social recruiting? Social Media + Recruitment (technology)

At AMB we consider social recruiting to be the effective use of social media and networking sites with sourcing techniques to open up new opportunities with clients, build relationships with potential candidates with the intention to recruit and increase your brand awareness.

The most commonly used medium is LinkedIn (78 percent), followed by Facebook (55 percent), Twitter (45 percent) and Blogs (19 percent). We have also found that 76 percent of candidates we spoke to are spending more time on social media.

It can also be extended to include the use of specialised Internet-based technologies and websites to perform the same standard and basic recruiting practices i.e finding candidates, initiating contact, engaging candidates and building relationships. Your Pot of Gold

Why Social Recruiting?

Networks provide connections to passive candidates

Good recruiters have always been skilled at researching the set of relevantqualifications needed for a job, finding a person that embodies them and thenMaking a connection. Because most people are not actively looking for work, recruiters look for passive candidates that fit the bill. New online sources – includingsocial networks, blogs, online resumes and profiles – give recruiters more ways thanever to research passive candidates and connect with them.

Social networking lowers recruitment expenseSocial recruiting provides a targeted and viral way to reach the right candidates.empowers employee referrals and enables companies to reduce recruiting costs byinvolving the whole company in hiring. Study after study has found that referrals, through social networks or personal connections, produce the highest quality hiresat the lowest cost. By using tools that increase the efficiency of social recruiting

andallow for measurement, social recruiting can provide a high ROI.
